What do you think is better, ds or psp.

For a long time I have owned a DS and always thought that they were far superior to psps, the touch screen offered new and fun ways to play, plus it has online wifi games.

Then suddenly I got a job and had the money for a psp, so I decided to buy one. What I got surprised me. The graphics are good, plus there are alot of great games out there that are better than the ds's. The psp also has online play, internet browser, music, demos, can play movies and other features that the ds doesn't have for only 40$ more.

So I was wondering which one you liked more. Also I know that everyone has different opinions and like diferent things, but I was just wondering what your reasons are.

Anything you can do on a psp you can do on a ds. All you need is the R4 (or 3). I love my ds, and my experience with psp's do not impress me. Yea, psp has more games, but the quality of the DS's are better IMO.

i would say ds because that is all i have, so i guess my vote is not very reliable. my brother told me that i should not get a psp for several tech reasons. if a kingdom hearts game comes out on it, then i will just have to get one.

I find the DS a better gaming experience, but that's just me. There are games coming down the pipeline that I'd definitely have PSP for though, such as the new Star Wars Battlefield, FF Tactics remake, FF VII remake (it's inevitable) and other stuff.

I don't know what the PSP is like as I've only played one a couple of times, I can honestly say that I hate my DS though. I bought it back in '05 and so far I've only enjoyed a handful of games on it; those being Castlevania DS, Jump Super Stars and Another Code (only because I hadn't played an adventure game in a long time).

Whenever I play the DS games that people give a lot of praise I can never see the appeal. I think a lot of this stems from the touch screen, I've never liked it bar for a few of its uses. I liked using it in combination with the thumb pad for Metroid Prime Hunters and I like it being used for Another Code style adventure games, but other than that it often feels forced and unnecessary to use. I know some DS games couldn't have been done without the touch screen, that doesn't change the fact that I don't enjoy using it though.
I'm still looking foward to PH, I'm hoping the touch screen controls will click with me this time around.

I'd hate to say it, but I prefer the PSP. I prefer it because not only do I actually own one, but I love how you can run all sorts of kewl homebrew software on it. I also enjoy the vast multimedia capabilities and being able to surf the web. As for the DS, while they're lots of fun to play, they're simply not as versatile as PSP's are. I'm still going to buy one though, because I'm still a Nintendo fan at heart, and the DS has many great titles that I have as of yet to check out.

Personally I prefer the DS, I like the touch screen and also the other sensors built into the unit. And also for Elite Beat Agents, that game is awesome!

DS 'cause I happen to have one.

DS has the better games, and the psp has better hardware. I use my psp much more than my DS because of its multimedia capabilities (I found a site that lets me put anime onto it), and I play my GBA games more than I play my DS games on my DS. For me its kind of a tie...

i like the DS more, they are likely the same but the DS has one extra screen and one is touchable, i can download multimedia things in a PSP but I buy a portable game console for games, not for other extra things, and i think the DS has better games, i respect the PSP fans tough

I hate to say it but I love the PSP, you can go on the net download movies, videos hold music as an MP3 player everything, and not to mention the games are great on there, the graphics actually look as if you are playing on the PS2 buttt I love my nintendo though lol!, my twin and I have one and I wouldn't trade it for any other hand held system. I respect the DS fans, the DS looks pretty cool, I would buy one in the near future.

To me, the PSP is a multimedia device that also plays games. You know, just as if it were an afterthought.

Im glad to see most people on this site have choose Ds as

1.Phantom Hour glass is coming out on it.

As I vaguely said before, the majority will vote for the DS.

DS all the way!!! It is the best hand held game console ever!!!

The DS has much better games than the PSP!
