Console Signature Colors

Hey, I was out shopping today and I went to the gaming section to see if they had any good games (which as usual, they didn't >.>) and I noticed something that I never had before.

I was looking at the console accessories and I noticed what I call "signature colors" for the consoles. What I mean is that I saw a specific color on the packages for the accessories of each one. The Xbox 360 was green, the Wii was blue, and the PS3 was red. Sorta reminds me of Din, Nayru, and Farore, but that's beside the point.

Has anybody else noticed this before? I'm curious. The colors are probably for appearance purposes, so people can distinguish one console accessory from another, but I'm just wondering if anybody noticed. I thought it was a pretty cool idea.

Seriously, anyone with eyes could notice this--your point or motive behind this thread seems useless.

I was just asking if anybody noticed this. I'm also curious as to what people think the colors might be used for. I said what I thought above, so I'd like to hear other people's opinions, if you don't mind.

I think the colors are just there so people that can't read to tell the difference between the systems.(end of bad joke)

But really I just think that the colors are there to tell the themes of the consoles. For instance, blue has a overall happy kidish feel to it. Green has a more serious hard core look to it. And red is teh fukcin badass!!!!111.

I've noticed this before, it happended with the previous generation, too. Gamecube was purple, Xbox was green, and PS2 was blue.

Hmm, this is kinda interesting. Why they would do that would probably be what mister willy wonka up there said before. To ditinguish the console. That and the freaken color of em.
