Pokemon ShinyGold Version (it's a hack)

Does anybody know about this? Its a hack of a remade Gold version. there's alot of videos of it on youtube if you're interested. Buit I want to know if its legal. if it is I'll download it cuz Gold and Silver were and are my favorite Pokemon games. I've looked on Google for more info, but I couldn't find anything....someone please help!

bud, it most likely in ROM format which is "ilegil" to talk about here and ilegil in general, so cant help you there. be prepared for thread closure.

Well doesn't quite seem like a thread about roms, but if it goes in that direction then yes I will have to lock this thread.

There's been no remake of Gold/silver (apart from chrystal, I guess) so it's not official.

Not sure on the legality, depends on how fan-made it is, I suppose.

No it's not Chaos Black. It's really called ShinyGold. And it looks REALLY official. Search on youtube for pokemon ShinyGold and you'll see what I mean

I've seen that around. It does look pretty sweet. And people are selling it on Ebay, along with jade version.

It's only legal if you own the original game and don't distribute the hack games to others, but who really cares if it's legal or not?

My thoughts? I find the custom sprites to be quite ugly, to be honest, and there's a lot of bugs with the hack, although it's still pretty damn good compared to others out there.
