Holy crap, this game... sucks a bit

I went to Fry's Electronics on Saturday. I made my way to the video game sections, and checked out the Wii games. I was interested in getting a new one. So, I picked up Excite Truck.

Let's just say, that was the first mistake I made. I got home, and, well... I wasn't impressed. I feel really bad now that my mother had to buy it. >_<" *is guilty* I should have picked up another game. *sigh*

Excite Truck just isn't that great of a game. However, my sibs like it, I wasn't to happy. o_o

I've heard mostly great things about... I wasn't blown away when I played a short demo of it, but I want to play a little more of it.

Thanks for sharing these thought, I know my opinion on what not to get for the Wii now, need some new games for it as it has not been used for a while, I may watch some videos on YouTube so I can get more ideas on it too.

I thought this game was actually on the top 5 Wii games, it's not bad, in fact I think it's underrated, it's a great experience just as long as your not using the in-game soundtracks they suck, they make the game feel like somekind of quirky tech-demo.

Besides that fact you have yourself a great game here.

The reason I like this game is in it's unique, unlike most racing games, you don't have to come in first place to win. Instead, you have to get stars by performing certain techniques, such as smashing opponents' trucks, drifting, and catching massive air.

The only reason I can say anything about this game in a negative respect, is it's limitation of only 2 player, and it would've have been a great Online edition. Other than that this game is top 5 best Wii game out there.

Excite Truck is ok. It isn't a game I would waste $50 on though.

I think the reason so many people dislike this game is because they don't think they should actually steer their car. I've loved it from the start cause I'm not burdened by a joystick. I just wish that sideways wouldn't put turning to a stand still.

I like it because I can put mah mushechk into it.

If you don't like the game just take it back. If you were unsure of what to buy, don't buy anything. That's partly the reason why I may be selling my Wii because the games on it are so crap.

This goes to show that any game with the word 'excite' in it is going to suck.

When in doubt purchase the official 5 months after Wii launch Killer App. Super Paper Mario for the Wii, it's a good game if you don't want Excite Truck.

Pfft, what are you talking about? Some of the games coming out look amazing....Mario Galaxy anyone??? And it already has some of the most fun games on, even more so with a few buddies round, heck we aren't even bored of Wii Sports yet, not to mention Wario Ware - Smooth Moves.

Ah well what do I care, it'll be your loss lol.

Mario Galaxy isn't out yet. Wario Ware Smooth Moves is clearly overrated, and it uses the gimmick of Nintendo over using mini-games concept. Wii Sports, I can't really say anything about that. It could've used a lot more than just Mii's; Online and Downloadable content could've been great additions to the game. And it came packed in the Wii, as more of a complimentary purpose, I eventually got bored of it, as a lot of other people.

Though Super Paper Mario is soothing.

I actually realy liked excite truck. It's definatley not a game to get if your not going to be playing with your friends very often though. But if your like me and have younger brothers who are better at video games than you, it can be a lot of fun.

I would quite like this game, it would make a nice addition to my Wii collection. But I have mixed views. From hardcore gamers, they shun it as a kids game and not for single player. However from magazines, it got high reviews.

Meh, i'll end up buying it. The only single players i'm into are big adventure games though like Zelda and RPG's, and multiplayers are always fun in my house.



Though I would buy a wii just to play SSBB.

I picked this game up with Zelda on launch day.

I really really like it.

It seems stupid and easy, but as you get further in, trying to get a whole bunch of S ranks, the game gets pretty challenging.

Lots of timing and tilting all ways.
