Wii Death case outcome

NEWS - US NATIONAL - Comcast.net

The case of the woman who drank water to win a Nintendo Wii and died as a result has reached a close, and no charges were made.

Strangely enough, the Nintendo Wii isn't mentioned once in the report.

Re: Wii Death case outcome

This is more or less old news... It's really sad. And those people who made the show, what the hell were they thinking?

Re: Wii Death case outcome

Is the wii important in any way, except it shows people really really wanted it at the time this happened?

I heard about on IGN when it recently happened. Apparently, the radio staff didn't bother the fact that one can actually die from this. Some called in and told them, but yeah, they didn't care. And that's just stupid in every single way.

Re: Wii Death case outcome

Think it's too much to call it sadistic?

The news of the EVENT may be old. Mr. Knight is simply stating the results of the report, which just came out recently (yeah, the U.S government really has a way of getting things done quickly).

I could just imagine someone trying to sue Nintendo. lawl. But, although I feel sorry for the lady that died, this does provide a good lesson: Don't do anything stupid. No, not even for a Wii.

Re: Wii Death case outcome

I think the people who were responsible for the contest could've thought about some of the health risks of drinking too much water. Although they really couldn't have predicted this kind of outcome...

And you can't blame the people who entered, because they couldn't have predicted it either.
