Oh man, i saw that yesterday

Sounds a little pricey for me, but if they managed to work DDR into it somehow, i'd just rob my grandmother.

Looking forward to it. Already a gigantic fan of Guitar Hero, so more games with rock in it are a good thing for Kika.

These games are absoklutely pathetic, why don't you just buy a guitar and learn how to play, instead of spending money on a poor imitation, it's not like guitar is hard to learn, you just have to put in time and practice, it's way more satisfying.

Racing games are absolutely pathetic. Why don't you just buy a car and learn how to race. instead of spending money on a poor imitation. It's not like driving is hard to learn, you just have to put in time and practice. It's way more satisfying.

Gee, I dunno. Because it's fun?

Am I the only one who has no rhythm? I seriously can't take a beat from my head and move it to my hands/feet.

Personally I've come to dispise rhythm games. They are about the only type of game I cannot play.

Well, if you have no beat, of course you hate rhythm games. They're all about beat. It's the same as a guy with no arms not liking to box.

I'll probably end up getting this, being the rhythm game buff that I am.

I hate to bring up such a silly idea, but your comment about a guy having no arms not liking to box made it pop into my head, I just can't resist ... Wouldn't it be cool if gaming peripheral companies invented special controllers that people with severe physical disabilities could use, so they could finally enjoy video games? I mean, for instances such as in the case of quadriplegic people. I'm sure they get annoyed at seeing what looks to be great fun, except they have no arms or legs to hold the controllers, and I'm not sure artificial limb technology is adept enough yet for such an intricate maneuver as pushing different directions on a D-pad rapidly.

I mean, if I got into an accident, and my arms and legs were suddenly paralyzed... I'd still want to be able to play video games.

Now anyway, back to the topic: this game looks most interesting, and I'm a huge rhythm fan myself so I'll most likely try it out, don't know if I'll actually BUY it though.

Lotuspetal- That's a nice idea, but probably a bit tricky Still, maybe things like the wii with it's motion game thingys will be good for people who can't handle buttons. Then again, i've never used a wii

I've never played much in the way of rhythm games, except lots of DDR. But this DOES look pretty darn awesome. Still worried about the price tag of all this, though. I ain't rolling in money Also, i have no next-gen systems. Darn.

First person shooters are absolutely pathetic. Why don't you just get a gun and shoot people? It's not that hard to do, and it's better than spending money on a poor imitation. Really, it's way more satisfying.

now as far as rock band goes.... I'm still a bit hazy on the details... can anyone tell me exactly what it is, and how I will play it? (I'm assuming it will come with an alternate controller)

Also, i thought i read somewhere about bands releasing brand new stuff for the game, and i thought i saw Wolfmother there. That's probably enough to get me interested..

Hey, alright! Someone actually listened to my goofy idea... *feels all warm and cuddly inside*

Ahem... *cough* Now back to serious business!

Well... It would certainly be interesting if the game releases in "packs"... There'd be a Basic, Deluxe, and Posh edition (or whatever adjectives they decide to call the packages), depending on how much you want to get at once. As long as they make it so you can add-on to your instrument set at any pace you want, they might have a good sales catch there

Hey I love Zelda! But Hyrule doesn't exist!!! I've got no problem with games like these!

Now lets think..what is harder, becoming a professional Grand Prix racer, or learning to play the guitar?

Hey isn't it fun pretending to play the guitar wow!!! Seems to me playing guitar hero is pretty much like playing air guitar in front of a screen except WOW you get a crappy plastic guitar imitation!!! Isn't that awesome!!! WOW now I can rock just like Slash by pretending to play sweet child of mine!!!

Or I could actually PLAY FOR REAL!!! I could go out and buy a cheap guitar and learn it, either by paid lessons, or free off the internet or by both these ways! Who knows? I could end up in a REAL band.

If you play guitar hero, then you must like the music, but your not a hero, your just lazy because you can't be bothered spending time learning how to play the guitar for real, wake up and learn.

^Or you could, like, just not play it. Goodness I admire your strong belief in your instrument though

Now, onwards!

Re: So guys, you want to play in a Rock Band?

The idea seems weird, it actually scares me.

How is packaging going to work out?

What's the Price on all the equipment?

Can we just use regular PS2 controllers?

How's the game going to work exactly?
