Banjo-Kazooie for DS?

I've had been hearing rumors about BK going on DS. Well, seeing old N64 clasics go on DS, I thought, "why not?".
I've remembered the classics, and just then, I felt my childhood being raped after new stuff came, like "Kameo", the new Diddy Kong Racing, the remake of "Goldeneye" and such. I feel like my past can still be saved by a game like this.
So is this true? I can't find any good resources, so yeah.

Re: Banjo-Kazooie for DS?

It's doubtful, but who knows. I say it's doubtful because Rare is owned by Microsoft now, a Banjo game is being made for the X-Box 360, and because Conker and Banjo were both removed from the DS version of Diddy Kong Racing (presumably because they've appeared or are going to appear on the 360). They were replaced with Dixie and Tiny Kong.

So, yeah, I'd put the chances of seeing Banjo-Kazooie remade on the DS very low. There's a much higher chance you'll see them on X-Box Live.

Re: Banjo-Kazooie for DS?

i tough rare was still making games for nintendo portables, look at banjo-kazooie grunty's revenge, is not that old and it's on a nintendo console, but they NEED to make another banjo game, i think in banjo-tooie they said something about a "banjo-threeie" but i'm not sure.

EDIT:

Re: Banjo-Kazooie for DS?

Yes at the end of banjo-tooie the witch said she's be back in banjo-threeie lol. That is being developed for the Xbox360 because Microsoft owns Rare. I suppose Nintendo can make one but it will have dixie-kong in diddy-kong's backpack.... (j/k)

I'm quite upset that Nintendo lost the rights to Rare. It's not fair that the third installment is being given to a bunch of Gears of war junkies lol.

Re: Banjo-Kazooie for DS?

I think everyone knows that, so I find use for my 360...DAMMIT, WHEN IS IT GONNA COME OUT!!!!????
Yeah, I think Microsoft is made up of some cool game creators that want to take over the world, but taking Rareware away from our childhood and raping it right in front of our eyes is just going way overboard. Did you see what they DID to them? Look at Conker, for example. It's N64 installment was funny because it was cute AND funny, which was a good mix-up. Now, Xbox. There's more seriousness, making it look so bad....well, it's just bad. And don't get me started with Viva Piniata, Grabbed by the Goulies, and the so-called "good graphics" of Banjo Three...

I agree! Rareware characters are awesome, and deserve to be on Nintendo- Microsoft isn't a bad company, but their games should be more serious and all. The Perfect Dark series is the only series that might be good to be on XBOX 360, but everything else... I still remember I was really sad when I heard Rare left Nintendo.

And your custom title is great- that was a funny scene in CBFD.

Heh, someone finally noticed. Most people think this is from a t.v. show or something. Yeah, the good memories of cute graphics of the big-boobed sunflower
O.K., this is starting to turn into a waging war on Microsoft rather than a DS thread. Oh, well, let's compare, shall we? Which one has the funnier/cuter/normalest graphics of the squirrel himself? Here's Nintendo (during the "sunflower" scene)

And here's Microsoft's serious one. Doesn't look as good with the better graphics, not even too "squirrel-like"...

Let's go with Banjo now. Would you want to see more of this?

Or this?

If there WAS a DS one, they had better not use option #2.

Re: Banjo-Kazooie for DS?

The better graphics of Banjo 3 isn't what annoys me, it's the new shape of Banjo's head. They made it too square, so it looks really weird. If they change that then I'd say the graphics would be indifferent.

Re: Banjo-Kazooie for DS?

I believe there is the possibility of a DS Banjo game, seeing as Rare have developed for Nintendo's handheld consoles, including several Banjo games on the GBA (Grunty's revenge, Banjo Pilot).

I wouldn't rule the possibility of a DS version out, but I wouldn't hold your breath, either.

THQ was involved with those, though I don't know in what way, and Banjo Pilot, like Star Fox Adventures, had already been in development right before the buy-out (there were pictures and such when the GBA was released, but the game didn't make the launch, and I guess the licensing issues are what made it take so much longer).

idk i actually like the new Conker he is looks sharper, and also furrier, but the new Banjo and look stupid Banjo's head is too square. and Kazooie looks like a retarded big bird. Banjos fur is too puffy, it should look more like the N64 version.
