FFVI Help (going insane)

I need some help, this is making me crazy! I'm on Mt. Kolts (I think) fighting Vargas and after my party members fight for awhile Sabin comes in to fight. You take control of Sabin and you have to do a Blitz attack. Which is a combo of right, left, right, and a. But I can't do it!! And you have a time limit. So I've fought this dude 8 times just to try and do the Blitz!
I bet it's really simple but I can't figure it out. Help me.

I've always had the same problem too. Sabin is pretty useless for me. It has to do when you're actually supposed to enter the buttons. It's either before you even select the Blitz, or right after you choose it. I really don't remember. I'm just about to get to where you are, so I'll be able to help you more then.

I had this EXACT problem about 2 days ago. The directions are a little vague, but here is how you do it...

1. Select Blitz
2. A cursor appears on Sabin. Input the blitz command and press x.

All of this occurs after you select blitz and while the little arrow cursor is on Sabin.

The blitz will work if you input this in correctly. It's REALLY useful once you get the hang of it.

I still cannot do it. I select Blitz and do the combo, but it says I'm doing it wrong. Do you do it before the yellow flash of light? And what do they mean by cursor? I don't see a cursor. The combo is left, right, left then A, correct?

Select Blitz from the menu. A cursor will be pointing at Sabin at this time. Without pressing anything else, press left, right, left, A, and he will perform the Blitz.

You would think Square Enix would improve the blitz from the SNES version.
