Don't have live. I use XBconnect.

Tag is capncornflake, for the occasional round of Halo 2.

What exactly is an XBconnect account ?

Its like Xbox Live only free, a lot more lag, and its missing all the... Xbox Livey... things. I guess.

I've only tried it a few times on Halo 1. Hated it.

Not really.

It's basically tunneling software, so you can play any LAN-enabled game online through a computer.

Missing a lot of the Live-features, of course. Still, just keep your computer next to the TV. It has a friends list and chat, and that's all that is really needed to set up a game.

No idea how well it works with a 360. When I finally pick up a 360, chances are I'll get Live for that. All I keep Connect around on my original Xbox for is the occasional game of Halo 2.

As for lag... not really. I host games off some **** P3 machine, and the only time lag pops up is when somebody with a horrid connection joins, at which time we boot them from the server.
