My school is SOOO againts wiis

A lot of people on my school are totaly againts wiis they say that they are crap and the controller is the crapiest thing they have ever seen. They say all that and they havn't even playd on it befor so I thought I might convince them so today a brought in the tp game and the wiimote+nunchuck some of them addmited that they shouldn't have said that but most of them made even or fun of the wii and that got me rally ANGRY !

Oh well what you gonna do? you can't make everyone love the Wii, and not everyone at your school hates the Wii, I know this because I go there.

The funny thing is that it's almost like a fashion trend or just a trend in general. A long time ago, Pokemon was everywhere. A lot of people would have Pokemon key chains, Pokemon cards, Pokemon conversations, Pokemon games, etc. Then after a few years, it all died out.

Nintendo Wii is like this too. Tons of people like it. They try to convince others how good it is. They try to show others how fun it is. But then after a few years, it's going to die out.

Then what? Then comes a new system/new trend, and the cycle repeats.

My thought is this - so what if some people don't like Nintendo Wii? It's not the end of the world. They bash the system? Well, to you, it's their loss, isn't it? Therefore, it's nothing to get angry about.

You shouldn't care whether or not people like the Wii. It's their loss, and more game availability for me.

My friends who actually play games are Xbox 360 guys and they think me getting a Wii is sort of lame. Except one, he's getting one for Christmas.

I don't think Nintendo cares if they care about the Wii... they have been selling out since they came out, which is almost a month from now. All across the world. Over 1 million units. The people who don't care about the Wii, couldn't even do that with a stupid candy bar.

And Ahmed, I think I know why, my friend told me you were showiing off the Nunchaku Wiimote at school, and pissing everyone off, maybe there saying it to annoy you.

Okay maybe they think hes boastng but come on , okay here is the story Ahmed s my best freind and because he is muslim he doesn't celebrate xmas but because hs mum is christan he stll getsa present he is getting or should i say got a wii and TP and i said okay open it before xmas but don't ruin TP for me so what does he do he brings in tp and the wiimote to school !!!!!!!!

Well my school is like that too and people that say that don't know anything. I don't care if you don't like the Wii but their arguements are so invalid. Someone said PS3 is better because of Sixaxis. Wii has that too. One guy said that the controller is too long to reach buttons. They're wrong. Obviously they've never held a Wiimote. A Wiimote is about 4 inches long although it looks 1 foot in the mags. PS3's graphics aren't even that great. Look at Gears of War then Resistance Fall of Man. Graphics own in GoW. Also Resistance Fall of Man is like a a fusion of Halo2 and Half Life 2. People that say that don't know anything about games. I have a friend who has PS3 and 360 (I have Wii and 360) and even he admits PS3 is like a more expensive 360. The games for 'em are like the same.

You know, I have the same problem. A guy I know recently switched over to the dark side (PS3 fanboyism). I'm thinking about typing up a list of reasons, using facts and figures, as to why Nintendo doesn't suck, and why Sony does. However, that's for another time and another place...

Just show them the sales statistics, and ask them if they think Nintendo sucks then.

Statistics are all relative. They are used for a reference, not as a "fact" to prove whether one system sucks and the other is good, etc, because statistics can be biased or manipulated quite easily.

All three consoles have their beneficial sides.

You want to know why? Because they're all XBOX whories! But, wii all know in real life, the Wii owns everything

It's like at my school too, but, in this case the Wii pwns and the PS3 is left in the dirt.

It's a bit weird, how people think the Sony is predominant. But theres a good explanation for this. There are quite more people who own a PS1/PS2 then a GCN/or any other Nintendo console for that matter. Thus leading to the mentality that Sony is predominant.

Though I'm a hardcore Sonyfan myself, and currently supporting the PS3. I can see why many people think this. The PS2 provided great games on the table. Making people think it will happen again. And I can also see why people the majority of people hate the Wii's in schools. It's foreign concept. And people are still under the impression that Nintendo is still "kiddy", that clearly not holding true. People will bring up past, for reference.

Alot of angsty teens in my School, think the DS sucks, most even back this up in my School by actually getting a PSP. I myself have a PSP, often using it for playing music, and other multimedia, as anyone else in my school.

So I can see why people think this.

Why does everyone get so heated over a video game system? Thats like saying "Oh my god my DVD player owns yours!!!"

Its personal prefrance and other peoples opinions shouldnt really matter.
