My school is stupid... Zelda vs ... Madden??

Over the past month, my school has been flooded with comments about madden being better than Zelda! Most ludicrous thing I've ever heard. I know this is a Zelda fansite (for lack of a better term), but people here who have played madden, please so help me, is there anything that great about it? (personally I hate football... *cuts footballs into itty bitty pieces* DIE EVIL SPORT OF POINTLESSNESS!)

Madden is that football thing right?

Yeah... I think a lot more people would be interested in a Fantasy Adventure game than throwing a ball around and tackling people, but thats an opinion.

I've played madden and I personally think its a good game. madden is better than some zelda games but definitely not tp. This is just my opinioin

Well, around here, most people like sports more than video games, and really don't know how to actually get into a really good storyline. The buy a PS2 or something, then buy the sports games because they like sports. Turns ot the sports games are really good. They don't buy fantasy/anime games, even though people can get into them easier.

Where I live, when I was telling the kids at school the Wii games out yet, they said "How could you Zelda Pretty Pretty Princess over Need for Speed?".

Yeah....

Madden is good. Better then some Zelda games i've played, but no where close to AlttP.

You can't compare the two.

That's like saying apples are better than powerade.
It doesn't make sense, it's a stupid comparison, you can't say a sports game is better than an adventure game.

They both serve the purpose of there categories, and personally they perfom well in there own seperate arenas.

There is no comparison gameplay wise, and if you are going to compare charts... well lets just say Zelda PWNS Madden.

That is my opinion too, Madden is my game to play when there's nothing to do or i'm really drunk. Then it's fun.

But 9 times out of 10 i'll choose Zelda over Madden.

Personal opinions in this case are useless.

If you like sports, you like Madden.

If you like fantasy, you like Zelda.

If you like both, you'd get both Madden and Zelda.

Enough said.

I've never played madden befor but I did play NFL street 2 Which was one of the best games I've ver played so that game really got me into football, but I have got zelda tp which is also very good. So I an't really judge but still I wouldn't say that madden is all crap I think it would be a really cool game.

I Wrestle and play Baseball, and in my years of play, I see more fat or out of shape football players than I do baseball of wrestling.

and I know tons of people here workout and are in shape. Sports are irrelevant to staying in shape. Some people just aren't co-ordinated enough to play sports, just like some people don't have good hand-eye co-ordination so video games are ousted from there lives and they rely on Madden games to say they are good at video games.

Seems irrelevant, but playing sports although can help stay in shape, doesn't have that big of an impact...

Sport lovers love sports games
Many gamers love adventure games
Wii love Zelda (couldn't resist)

To me, no Madden video game is going to be better than the actual experience of football. I should know. I've been there.

I don't think it's wise to pit Madden against Zelda, for they are useful in their own ways. The Madden series plays an important factor in getting non gamers to play video games. A lot of people I know at school are talking about Wii...and Madden for Wii (what makes me mad though is that if I told them about Wii when I saw rumors of Nintendo planning a gaming revolution leaked onto forums some years ago, or any time between then and now, they would have called me a crazy nerd). A lot of people at my school are excited about Wii, and Madden for Wii is definately helping to attract non-gamers! How can a football fan refuse a Madden game where you actually get to hike and throw the ball?

I am one of those people who would play both Zelda and Madden, so I have it made.

I think it's stupid to compare a football game to a fantasy adventure. They're from two different genres.

Like it has said a few times before me, the two games are of completely different genres. You can't cross genre to say which is better by any means. The closest you could get to saying which is better is by polling people to see which is more popular, and that isn't even that good of a way.
