Wii still sold out everywhere!

Everyday I phone up like 8 or 9 differnt store and every one of the has the Wii totally sold out! This is really getting me down, I fear I won't be able to get myself a Wii until after the holidays

Anyone else have this problem?

It's one of the most popular gaming systems available at this time. If you wanted one you should have reserved it.

My advice is to go to EB or GameStop or Wlmart whatever and ask if you can reserve one.

Nope. I got mine first day, second store.

I still don't have mine. I did try to reserve it. I went on one day, and then I saw that the reservations had begun. So I went to the store 3 days after, but already too late. I didn't think of ToysRUs until too late.

I have a wii so no preoblem here. I did go to gamestop today and they had 2 ps3's and three wii's. So if you guys want either of em head there.

You should have bought the PS3!

It's annoying, but it's also a good sign.

I was lucky. I managed to get a Wii with only two hours of wait. I wasn't fortunate enough to get a second controller, though. =/

Aw- I wanted a 2nd controller but i'm not just buying the remote, I want the nunchuk too.

Why could you not have posted this in General Gaming?

Anyway, I experienced the same thing, stood in line for 4 hours and still didn't get a Wii. It got me down as well.

However, I have a plan to make sure I get one before Christmas, sometime next week.

Does it involve illegal actvities and the mafia or yakuza?

hehehehe got a Wii two controllers and 3 games... 6:00am on friday.

lol, here in New Zealand we only got 5,000 units, but you can still buy them in store.
I mean yes... you can walk in and buy one.

I ordered one of Circuit City on the 6th. It said it was estimated to arrive yesterday. I waited patiently, but nothing. At around 7 PM, I went to Circuit City to track it. FedEx said it had delivered my Wii to the front door at 5:44 PM. But I didn't hear a truck or the doorbell ringing. So I opened the front door, hoping to see a Wii. Nothing.

I wasn't able to search the around the whole house, since it was dark and my flashlight didn't work. We called FedEx, and they said if it's not here in two days, the shipper has to file a claim, or something. And I don't think they work on Sundays, either(anyone know if this is true?).

So this morning I went and searched around the house. But, there wasn't a sign FedEx had been there. But the weird thing is, it says on the Circuit City website that they're giving away a free Wii, even though I ordered the last one they had. Coincidence?

Man, it seems like everything is trying to stop me from getting a Wii.

I want it, now.

I thought - after everyone was constantly laughing at it's prospect, that the figure (especially in the UK) would be low - but my chances would be superior of getting one.
I was an idiot. No way in hell could I have predicted it's popularity in this country, over 100 stores I've phoned, everywhere. No Wii's whatsoever.
SO. Nintendo better get some more Wii's for the non-preordering customers.

I have the feeling nintendo isn't trying to pull a 'sony'. (releasing a few for world-wide shortage, then planning to jack up the price.)
