4 Million Wiis not enough

I was checking Gametrailers.com's forums and I came across the news that they're already out of Wiis! That's right, all 4 million of the have already been pre-ordered!

Well, I guess I'm going to have to wait for mine, then. I didn't preorder one...

Do you honestly believe that though?

what about the stores that do no involve themselves with pre-orders, such as BestBuy, Target, SEARS, walmart, and others?

I know for a fact that those stores will receives Wii's, your source is unfortunantly incorrect.

I did watch an interview that said that demand is higher than the supply. I highly doubt that they don't have enough for launch, though.

I don't really mind. I'm waiting for the Wii that will play DVD's right out of the box. They will be in production after launch.

Well, it's not like they've stopped producing them. I hope the second wave will be bigger.

It's not true. Think about it. There were roughly he same about of preorder slots at GameStop/EB Games for the PS3 and the Wii. If GameStop/EB Games expects to fill all those orders for the PS3, then that means that there will be plenty extra of the Wii. Why? Because there will be many more Wiis will be available for launch than PS3s.

Also, as said, there are some stores like Wal-Mart that didn't even do preorders.

There were lot of High incorportated stores like Wal-mart and such that weren't doing preoder, like Vaccumgod said. This isn't really true, the person you were talking town probably wasn't even aware of that aspect.

God, theres just to much casual gamers out there.

I'll just ask for mine for Christmas, they'll probably be in overstock then for the holidays anyways so I'll most likely get one if my relatives actually try to get me something on the top of my Christmas list this year.

I think they would. Any company should know if they release something in November or December they should expect kids or teens to get parents to buy it, which they'd say "wait till Christmas." I'm sure there will be plenty of Wiis and PS3s out there on Christmas. Its usually after that they have some surpluses here and there.

If I don't have one at Christmas, Wal-mart shall feel Vaati's Wrath for sure.

(btw, PS3 buyers, 6 hours. Wiis got 2 extra days.

4 Millions Wii's between now and the end of the year. So 4 Million Wii's have not been shipped yet. They're still in the process of doing so.

There's really no point for me purchasing as Wii before launch. Sure, Twilight Princess is awesome, but what I'm waiting for is Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Both aren't coming out with launch, which suits me just fine since I wouldn't be able to afford purchasing a Wii at that time anyways.

I asked the guy at Game Stop and he told me that they would be getting another shipment in sometime during the week after they come out. Stupid Fire Bird should have paid attention so she could get it right away.
