Television media has no clue....

I was just in the kitchen, the TV was on CTV newsnet (canadian television), and a report came on about the PS3 and how "everybody wants one". Not ONE time did they mention the wii. What really pissed me off was when they were ranting and raving about how good the PS3 is, they were showing videos in the background of Super Mario Galaxy, and people using the Wii controller. It's just simply ridiculous!!!!!!!!! Get your frikkin story right.

The local news recently did a report about a group of poeple that are currently waiting at their local Target to buy their PS3s. I had to do a double take because my initial thought was "Isn't today Wednesday?"

Nah.Not true.WGN just showed a special on the wii and its gameplay.They even had videos of Link fishing.

yeah, ctv also showd people camping out too. but isnt it released after the wii?

no, it comes out on friday. and yeah, i hate the media. sure they showed Wii as well on another channel, but it makes me mad when the talk about something they have no friken idea about and saying false things about. As for the camping out thing...they are stupid, considering they are wasting their time on a piece of **** in my opinion. I actually know guy whos doing that starting tommorow, but he doesn't even want one, hes just gonna get one and then sell on the internet for a couple grand or so.

There's a difference between infrared (what the Wiimote uses) and motion-sensoring (what the PS3 remote uses).

Everyone is Japan wants a PS3. In fact, it's sold out.

So what, they didn't mention the Wii. Big deal. The Wii has already been talked about. Quite frankly, the only thing there really is to talk about is the Wii's control scheme. Eventually, it gets boring. There's no reason to get upset. They are kind of idiots for showing a Wii game while talking about the PS3 though.

It's on of the most technologically advanced things on the market right now. I fail to see your reasoning as to why the PS3 isn't a good system (except for fanboyism).

Surprisingly, my local news was very accurate on the PS3 and Wii. I was shocked at how much they knew.

I'm not a fanboy just so you know, and 360 is actually more powerful than PS3 so it isn't the strongest. I call it **** bacause its weaker than 360, and its alot more expensive. I'm gonna say its safe to say thats its gonna end being incredibly flimsy and break easily just as its been with the PS1 and PS2. The launch line up kinda sucks no really must have games. and the controller sucks. thats why i call it ****.

... The PS3 actually has the strongest hardware this gen, from a pure graphical capabcity standpoint. Not the 360.

But it's a moot point. The only thing you should ever judge a console on is it's games, and the hardware's ability to connect you to and experience them. And by that standard, yes, I agree - the PS3 is the weakest of the three. It only has a few games I want. The 360 has a few more, and the Wii has a few more then that.

I only assumed you were a fanboy because you really didn't give any reasoning as to why the PS3 is bad (as I said). Sorry.

Acutally, when you break it down; in terms of processing power, the PS3 beats the 360 (by a lot). However, the Xbox 360 has more available memory. So they both have their own weakness and strengths; which sort of puts an equal balance between them.

and its alot more expensive.

The main reasons PS3 is more expensive is because of built-in Blu-Ray drive (which allows developers to fit more HD gaming onto one disk). Blu-Ray players now cost around $1000; so the PS3's value is much higher then you think.

The launch line-up for the Wii isn't that great either.

And I highly doubt you've tried out the PS3 controller yourself. You're merely assuming (not that you can't; it's just it makes you look opinionated).

actually from a grphical standpoint 360 has more power and is capable of more powerful graphics, unlike poplar belief. The PS3 has one graphics engine in it(or whatever you wanna call it), 360 has 4. only reaon 360 hasn't had many game up till now that look like some PS3 games is because up till now the 360 has only used up 3 of the 4.

Thats true, but sony revealed these changes in their controls long after the Wii had let the public know about their controls. They tried to make it seem as good, too.

Sony didn't steal anything. Two controllers are different. Get your facts straight before starting a senseless bashing.

In addition, had Sony stolen something from Nintendo, a lawsuit would have been filed. But we didn't see that, did we? No, we didn't.

Imitation is the highest form of flattery but in this case, similar does not equal the same.

And yes, in Japan, PS3 was all sold out. Geeze, it's just a gaming system. It's not the end of the world if they didn't show Wii for like a minute in their broadcast or anything. You and I both know that many people will want to get a Wii. The media hype is overrated.

Pfft. I've never seen any mention of a Nintendo product on the TV, from memory. I have seen constant raving over Sony and Microsoft consoles. I just prefer to continually watch the self-mockery that is the PS3 E3 presentation.
