Resident evil mishap

Okay I was reading and I saw a screen shot to a resident evil game I had never played before.I read up on ti and it was a screen shot to resident evil zero for the N64. They were in middle of making the game on the 64 (they thought the 64 was the only system able to swith between caharcters fast enough) when the gamecube came out. They were halfway through and then they trashed it so they could put it out on GC.Ithought that the 64 version looked cooler. They graphic weren't as good (duh) but they were way better then RE2 and Re3.
They were also brieng out the original Re on the gameboy coler. The mansion looked exactly like it did on the PS1 smae garphics and everything! The entire game was 3D.I found that a little hard to believe since it was on a gameboy coler.

Re: Resident evil mishap

While the game did look good on N64, it looks even better on Gamecube. Heck, it looks downright amazing even by some of todays standards. The Resident Evil on Gameboy that you are talking about, while it was impressive I'm glad they never came out with it.

The game would have been a laggy mess and no the graphics were not impressive. They were impressive on a Gameboy and on a Gameboy's screen they might have looked good, but the Gameboy Colour just didn't have enough buttons for a RE game. Just take a look at these screens

They are horrible, the DS version is the best handheld RE you're probably ever going to find for a while. Oh, and if you find these cancelled games interesting, you should look up the early versions of Resident Evil 4. It's interesting to see what Resident Evil 4 could've been, it's like they made three different games.

Edit:
Here is one of the two videos of the early builds

And here is the second

Then ofcourse you know of the third version which is the one we bought.

Re: Resident evil mishap

Resident Evil DS turned out really well. But jeez man have you played Resident Evil Zero for the Gamecube? Not only are the graphics amazing but the game is so fun! And I'm actually hoping that they make Resident Evil 2 and 3 for the DS but I really doubt that will ever happen.

Re: Resident evil mishap

yeah i knew about that for a while \thank god it was for the cube and it looks like it would of sucked on the boy

also RE would of been way scarier if they used the beta version (RE4) wasn't scary at all
