The Impossible Has Happened
Europe has got Nintendo adverts on TV! We've been blessed! I live in the UK, and just saw a Nintendo Wii advert. I was in total shock! Europe? Ninty adverts? Surely not! But I do not lie, there was a Nintendo Wii advert on my TV! The advert first appeared with the Wii logo, which disappeared and a Wii Remote came onto the screen against a white background. A hand then faded around it, and the voiceover said "This is Wii", then the release date came on screen.
I was in absolute disbelief. Nintendo adverts are an incredibly rare thing in Europe, so seeing one just was like: WOW! Tell me if you live in Europe and you've seen a Wii advert!

Re: The Impossible Has Happened
Nintendo adverts in Europe? n the UK of all places?
...holy carp. The only Nintendo related adverts I've seen in my Europe travels are either adverts for Pokémon and Ocarina of Time during the Christmas season around 1998. I'll definately keep an eye out for these. I think this thread should be kept seperate from the thread about commercials of Red Steel, since this is really the first time Nintendo has actually been advertised since...well, practically ever over heres. |

Re: The Impossible Has Happened
Umm, there are loads of Nintendo adverts shown in the UK.
They have that big deal with the "In touch with origional comedy" between Channel 4 and the DS. The DS is heavily advertised - the pink Lite has that ad with the woman playing Nintendogs on the train, and of course Chris Tarrent did all those Brain Training adverts. There was a really silly one for Animal Crossing aswell XD. Float your advertising. |

Re: The Impossible Has Happened
I've seen a lot of Nintendogs and DS Lite adverts, not to mention Mario, on tv. I do live in the UK, as most of you should know : )
I haven't seen a Wii advert yet though.

Re: The Impossible Has Happened
I didn't know that you guys have video game ads. I've only seen a RedSteel commercial, though.

Re: The Impossible Has Happened
No Wii ads on this side of the Chanal. Well, in the Netherlands, anyway. Well, unless I didn't notice them, with me rarely watching tv, and when I do it's usually the BBC because Dutch tv sucks so much. So if they exist, there's a good chance I'd miss it.
Still, if I were to ever see a Wii advert, my head would probably explode.

much television, because of my homework. Around 9 or 10 PM, I'm sitting and watching tv, as usual. However, I suppose that Nintendo wants to announce the Wii a bit. It's almost 8 december. |
