What Games Do You Think Should Be Remade?

The title really says it all.

You can do a top 10 or whatever you want to do.

I think I'll do a top 5.

1. Final Fantasy VIII
2. Final Fantasy VI
3. Final Fantasy VII (shush I like FF. The old ones should get remade )
4. Super Metroid
5. Super Maro RPG

Mostly FFs but whatever...

I actually just posted a reply to a question like this on another forum, so I think I'll just post what I said there:

FFVII, I think, is the only game that actually needs to be remade. FFI-III have had their graphics upgrades and FFIV-VI and VIII-XII are fine the way they are.

FFVII, though, just hasn't aged too well. The field sprites look ridiculous, the battle sprites (of monsters and characters alike) look like something someone learning Maya would throw together on their first try, and the FMVs, while revolutionary at the time, mix and match the proportions of characters at random (think normal-looking Aerith in the opening FMV and midget Cloud jumping onto the train later on).

Before anyone freaks out and thinks I'm dissing the game here, I'm not. The game was revolutionary at the time of its release, and it still holds up pretty well overall, but if there's any FF game that needs to be remade, this is it.

It would almost be a shame if they didn't, really. They've made these fancy new redesigned 3D models, and all we got out of them was a crappy shooter and a bad action movie.

I wouldn't mind seeing a remake of Pokemon G/S/C. They did it for Red and Green, so why not? The 2nd generation games were often regarded as the best, so I think they need an update.

Also, a remake of Mother/Earthbound. I want to see a kick-ass graphics version of that game.

Resident Evil 2 and 3. Imagine Nemesis in all his detail and the freakiness of his jumping through a window could be.

What i really want remade is Earthbound, because it was a great game on the SNES and we dont see much of Ness these days.

Also, a remake of Mother/Earthbound. I want to see a kick-ass graphics version of that game.

I agree, it would be awesome.

A revamped version of Illusion of Time/Gaia would be nice or a 3D follow up to the game. Also hope it becomes available on virtual console.

Flashback would be great also, loved this game back in the day.

No its being re-released not remade.

I mean like a PS3 remake with 3-d graphics.
