Demo of Sonic Adventure DX for PC

This is pretty good for people who havent played Sonic Adventure DX for GC. Sega is making this game for the PC (yes, including the game gear games & everything else that was in the DX version).

http://www.sega.co.jp/pc/sonicdx/trial.html

You can only play as Sonic, Knuckles, or Tails. Sonic can play in Emerald Coast, Tails in Windy Valley, and Knuckles in Red Mountain.

Oh, the download is about 69MB, but it is a pretty good download, free & legal.

Also, graphics tend to be better on the PC than on the systems itself.

Oh, BTW, almost everything is in Japaneese in the game, and installer, so beware.

I saw this on 3D Gamers, but I don't really feel compelled to play it. I've played other PC ports of Sonic, and I wasn't impressed.

Agreed, SearnoX. Ever since the fall of the DC sega has been less then mediocre, ports can be good but when they're glitchier then the original and they say "there's more to the game" when all they did was add a half assed Chao download on the GBA and those "improved graphics" you were so looking forward to...nope, they just added water reflections and made the characters shiny...it really pisses me off how ****ty Sega's been getting. OH ! and guess what ? when they finally decide to make a new game...it's on all systems. And don't get me started on Skies of Arcadia...

Re: Demo of Sonic Adventure DX for PC

Wow... didn't realise they were porting the game to PC. O_o

Bah, I say Sonic games should stay on consoles... just seems more fitting for some reason.

Although, perhaps for computers with good hardware there won't be as much slowdown... can you tell us about this stuff Yoshi... I'd be heaps appreciative if ye let us know.

Also, I really think they should have put the SMS versions of the Sonic games on DX... they were sooo much crisper and smoother than the Game Gear ones, IMO.

*wishes his old Sega Master System was still alive*

Bah, stuff it... *plays games on emulator instead*

Well cheers Yoshi. It's a good game though. But Sega has been going downhill alot. The keyboard isn't great to play Sonic in 3d, but it'll do. Nice find.
