$700 for Twilight Princess?!

According to Attack of the Show's: The Feed, TP is already sold out everywhere by preorders. The only way for you to supposedly get the game is by going to GameStop or EB Games to get the Wii and TP bundle pack which is costing $700. The only way to try and see if it is available for a regular game price is to just see if stores still have a copy.

Correct me if I'm wrong about any of this and does any one else want to comment this?

Re: $700 for Twilight Princess?!

Yeah I think you're right, I stumbled accross this at GameSpot.
http://www.gamespot.com/news/6161327...g=lastword;img

So I think it's official, but at the same time this just an optional bundle. TP won't cost 695$.
But this also includes 5-other games.

Re: $700 for Twilight Princess?!

Hm, some n00b posted this in the Nintendo Wii forums claiming TP will be 700$, of course with no details about a bundle.

Anyway, anyone who is mildly interested in Zelda already had TP pre-ordered.

I wouldn't get this bundle, a bit too much money would be spent at once.

Re: $700 for Twilight Princess?!

If this is true, i'm extremely pissed off, since I have neither preordered. I'm not wasting money on games I wouldn't play... guess i'll just have to wait until they sell them individualy.

*edit* v oh... DSL09 made it sound like the only way to get it is by going to Gamestop or EB-games.

You do know that there are tons of stores that are selling the game but dont even do pre orders right? I could go to walmart or best buy or future shop to get Zelda and i will without preorder.

Not me, I have no EB games or Gamespot in my little town. Just a Wal-Mart.

And yeah, since I don't have these stores, it really doesn't matter to me. Still, $700 for a Wii and 6 games? I only wan't one game at launch (You'll NEVER guess what it is), so I only plan to spend around $350 dollars on November 19 (Wii, TP, memory card).

Re: $700 for Twilight Princess?!

You don't need a memory card to save, you know. The Wii has 512MB of built-in memory, which should be more then enough for several saves. For comparison, the 251 GC memory card had 8MB.

Each Wii memory card has an additional 512 MB, but you really shouldn't need one at launch unless you plan on bringing your saves over to a friend's house or something.

I heard twenty, but I don't know how accurate that information is. Plus, depending on your area, (mine's pretty gamer heavy) you could have more or less.

Yes. Wal-Mart is getting a minimum of 20 Wii's. If you get there early enough, you'll probably end up getting one.

Re: $700 for Twilight Princess?!

Master Sword has the right idea.

The only game worth getting right now is TP. Most the of the Wii's launch titles suck. In fact; the only reason I'm getting the the Wii the day it comes out is because I just want to play TP ASAP. The only extra thing I might want when I purchase my Wii is the classic controller (but those only cost around $30; which doesn't even come with the bundle) and S-VHS cables. The only other thing I might want in that bundle besides TP is Red Steel.

The bundle isn't worth the money.

Re: $700 for Twilight Princess?!

Like dark legend already stated, Target, Walmart, K-mart etc etc, are stores that do not do pre-orders, and for those retail outlets not to have the #1 most anticipated game on the wii would be suicide.

Apparently that's how WalMart's doing it.
