Gears Of War

Holy mighty flaming sacremental excretion, cannot wait for this game.
Looks stunning, and some of the raving reviews about it just heighten my anticipation for the European release.
If anyone else has a 360, are you looking forward to it; or if your American - most importantly - what's it like?

I can't wait to play it. From the reviews I've read and the videos I've watched, it looks like a truly great shooter. It looks like it'll definitely contend with Oblivion, Final Fantasy XII and Twilight Princess as my personal Game of the Year.

Game looks awesome... I think it might surpass Halo.... I SAID IT MIGHT! DONT HURT ME!! *hides from Halo lovers*

Gears of war is awesome. My roommate has it and i get to play it. Yeah its just the reviews says it is. The online gameplay is just like the campaign so its awesome!!

This game alone makes 360 worth buying.

I honestly cannot say how much I was impressed by it. I've always been rather hyped for it, but being able to finally play it (thoroughly) today let me see just how excellent it is. Downright gorgeous, action-packed and in-depth combat that really sets itself apart from almost all other shooters, one of the best co-op campaigns in history, all of that good stuff. And damn, you want to talk about some tension, you found the alien version of RE4 in Gears of War. Going through the city at night with the Locusts all around, or better yet, taking on a Beserker on Hardcore mode really grabs you.

Seriously, this game could be the best title of the year on any system (yes, it may even end up being better than TP).

Expect nothing less from Epic Games and CliffyB, after the monster series of Unreal. Of course, I've been following this game, and have been thinking of buying a 360 for this, Halo 3, Double Agent, Rainbow Six Vegas, Dead Rising, and COD2/3. Of course, with those games coming out, and this beast already kicking ass with it's chainsaw guns and Unreal Engine 3 graphics, it's bound to be a console seller.

I played it. It's amazing. But the best part in the whole game is when you sneak behind a sniper that almost killed you three times and hold B. Banonets are old school, chainsaws are the way of the future. Yes, you get to kill people with a chainsaw. That alone is a reason to buy the game.

The co-op is incredible, the gameplay is scary and action packed, Terry Tate, office linebacker, does the voice of one of your squad memebers! This game is incredible.

This is game is almost assuredly going to rival TP for game of the year. And it will be the greatest Xbox 360 game of the year, if not the greatest Xbox 360 game ever.

Well, I ordered my copy off Amazon and that'll be arriving next week, which will spark on orgasm everywhere.
But Yami, as you mentioned Splinter Cell Double Agent : Best Multiplayer Game EVER. Wonderful, wonderful stuff - sincerely recommend you to buy a 360 for it. And Call of Duty 3 - again wonderful, bought it today - very fast paced, and on some occassions, geniunely terrified of dying - it felt like uber real War.

It looks like a decent game that's better than most shooter games I'VE seen. Plus, I heard they're making an "alternate" Jason Voorhees appearance, you know?

Gears of War looks great, too bad I don't have a 360.
Hopefully it will come to PC one day, but at the rate Xbox games come to PC, it's about 2-3 years. That's even if it does happen.

This game looks awesome. I hope to play it when I go back to Iowa to live my boyfriend again. Our roommate there had a 360 and I'm pretty sure he'll be getting this game, so I'll probably end up playing it.

I saw them play a little bit of it today on G4's Attack of the Show! and it made me want to play it. And besides, the commercials for it are great as well.

Gears of War is amazing!! The graphics are insane (though stretched out on my 16:10 monitor) and I have not noticed any frame rate slowdowns yet. The game has a somewhat dark atmosphere and has some jump factor, but I (and surely everyone else) are distracted from that by action-packed firefights, strategical cover maneuver, awesome music, and loads of blood and gore. The addition of chainsaw bayonets is the icing on the cake. It's very entertaining to walk up to a locust, saw it in half and watch as blood covers the screen.
The A.I. is good and very skilled.

I'm on the part on campaign where you have to lure a berserker outside and kill it with the hammer of dawn. Hard.

I dont even have a 360 or a friend with one (and I don't plan on getting one), but I'm looking forward to GoW, it looks awesome.

The best f'ing game I have ever played! (next to the zelda series of course). I can not think of a single bad thing to say about this game. I had it pre-ordered got it the day it came out played constantly for the next 4 days. The graphics are the best i've ever seen seen. fdar surpassing any of the graphics on the PS3 and any other game on the 360. Though story isn't completly deep it gets the job done and is still good. Level design is great, every area is new and fresh, it never seems to repeat itself. Though the game may only be about 5 hours, thats just on the casual difficulty. change to ardcore it adds quit a bit of playtime. and play on insane mode and it just about doubles or triples the play time cause its so damn hard and nearly impossible to beat. Only way i was able to is by doing co-op witha friend to help me out. And when you're finally done with story, you have online wich is also excellent, great levels, great weapons. and just the sheer way you play this game is amazing. its nothing like any other shooter, you just can't run and gun at your enemies. you have take cover, flank them and be defensive and startegic or else you're gonna end up with a chainsaw to the face or a curb stomp to your head. Now I could rant on for hours but I'm gonna end it here. If you have a 360....get Gear of war. If you don't...get a damn 360 and then gears of War. And just so you know, in my opinion, way way way way bettre than Halo.
