For all of y'all who plan to camp out for the Wii

If anyone of yall are worried about not getting a PS3 or Wii becuase you didnt preorder it follow this guide and i GUARANTEE you will get one.

very cool, thanks for that, 2 of my friends and I plan on camping out, sure most of what was on the post was redundant information. But good nonetheless, I live about a mile away from my local targert (quick bike ride).

Anywho, I plan to interveiw the manager (something I never thought of) on monday, scout it out thursday and friday, then wait in line (hopefully first) for all of saterday, taking shifts and such, and getting totally hammered in the process.

What I love about the popular gaming stores in town is that they are on the inside, so I don't have to be freezing. I have been in similar situations when they were giving out Mew and Celebi. The time with Mew was incredible, people were literally running like a raid when they opened the doors, and my father was worried I might get hurt.

I am not camping, but I am staying at Wal-Mart from 6:00 to midnight.

For some reason, Wal-Mart use some system where if you sit down in some seat in the Wal-Mart restaurant, you get a console. That was used for the GCs, and I'm pretty sure it's used for Wii too. I AM bringing two DS's, one for me and one for my bro, and hopefully there will be more people with DS's. My town's not a big gaming town, so I'm sure there will be enough Wiis for everyone who wants one. For GCs, there were 40 left,and I hope it''s that way for Wii, too.

Useful information. Some was obvious, like getting yours stolen when you leave, but not bad. Me and my mom (Who I just convinced to help) are gonna try to get my dad whos in Florida to send me money. I live in a small town in N.J, I'm not really sure how many of the kids are into Nintendo. Most I know talk about sports or Halo, so I hope thats a good sign.

If I succeed in getting my dad to send money, me and my mom are going to Target or whatever store is selling them 2 hours before the opening. I'm probably bringing my Gameboy and TMC to beat a file while we wait.

Next Sunday is either gonna be a crappy, stupid, and painful morning, or a happy and perfect morning. I do hope I get both, but the Wii's more important. Everyone goes for the system, but not all of them go for TP.

Im glad this information helped yall. this saturday me and my mom are going to all those stores to talk to the manager then on the 18th we will be scouting the store we choose. shes bringing a friend so am i its all good cant wait

Me and 2 of my friends are planning on camping out a walmart 4 hours before they open. And this guide is actually very helpful.

Dude um guys there is no need to camp out. There are going to be enough systems for everyone. Nintendo is no Microsoft and only giving out a few. They are smarter than that. There is not a doubt in my mind about not getting a Wii. Sure I will get one the day it comes out, but there is no need for me to stand and wait hours upon hours at the store gates. I am already waiting hours upon hours at home. Trust me guys and girls its all good.

I doubt someone here at home would line up for a Wii, but some tips were quite interesting.

They've said themselves(Nintendo) that it's going to be hard to get a wii.


My wife is planning on camping out to get me one. Yay! I think I will owe her something really awesome for x-mas; Maybe that's her strategy.

She's going to our local wal-mart. Her mom works there and the 19th is the day that employees get 20% off 3 items! Sooo my wife will camp and then her mom will meet her there just before opening and the we'll get 20% off. Good stuff.

Hmmm. I might get some friends to camp out with me, just to be safe. That's quite an informative guide, that is.

OR you just ask the nice lady of the local gameshop who happens to be a friend, to hold one back for ya, and get a good night sleep beforehand

This was very useful, and I'm going to follow the rules that apply to my situation. I already followed it by asking how launch would work (didn't need the manager for that), and I'm all set. My store is doing the whole "you have a seat at midnight, you get a Wii" thing. It'll be fun. I have a friend coming with me, but he wants a Wii, too, so shifting with him is useless, BUT my dad will be shifting with me. I have a really cool dad; he's actually going to camp with me!

It had some really good pointers, but since I have a Wii on reserve, I won't have the problem of waiting in front of a store for numerous hours. (Though I did have to wait 2 hours in a line to get a reserve) Since I'm a pretty tall guy, I don't think I will have the problem of someone trying to steal my console. Who knows. It might come in handy for the next generation of consoles.

Hah, I've been to one of those. Celebi was horrible for me. I literally did get trampled. Interesting guide though. Thanks for posting it, I was intending to camp for a few days outside Wal-Mart. I kid you not.

Sorry if I've got this completley wrong, but are you saying that you're going to sit around and get completley pissed? (drunk)

Do you really think that's such a good idea? It'd be really ****** if you waited around for all that time and ended up being told to move away from the store, or moved on by the police, because you're drunk.
