No rumble for Wii's VC

http://gonintendo.com/?p=8212

Wow, this is retarded. The VC sounds less and less appealing with overly expensive games to games that you can only download in your region to this-- No rumble!

How will you play games like Ocarina of Time when you get the Stone of Agony if you haven't played it before and didn't memorize the secrets that vibrate? This is just f><king stupid! Even if you use your Gamecube controller (with a built in rumble feature) it still doesn't vibrate.

You may as well just buy your N64 games off eBay since you can use the superior controller that it was designed on and you get all the features. Plus, you can probably get the games cheaper on eBay.

Discuss this nonsense while I punch Miyamoto in the dick.

You seem a bit testy about this .

Yes, it's a shame it won't have the rumble feature utilized. I don't understand why would they make it so that ALL N64 games wouldn't have the rumble feature. I suppose it's one of the downsides to getting an N64 game on the Wii.

Re: No rumble for Wii's VC

I never had a rumble pak for the N64, this is not new, nor surprising for me. I could care less, most of the VC games that I will be playing launched on 8 and 16-bit systems, systems that didn't have any sort of rumble feature.

Re: No rumble for Wii's VC

Heck, I only bought the Rumble pack on mistake myself. I was looking for controll.. Something or other to save one of my games, and I thought it was it. So I went home and out it on and played the game.. No result. I was upset so I went to OoT, and BOOM, rumble.

It's a shame, but I can live with it.

???

Re: No rumble for Wii's VC

I've never cared much for rumble, having started with a SNES , I never got use to it. I don't count it much of a loss, but, I don't see the reason why there shouldn't be one for people who want it! Goodness, someone needs a good smack on the head over at Nintendo!

You and me the same. The 16-bit and 8-bit systems weren't enabled to have rumble feature. And as Vacumgod said, I'll also be playing SNES and an NES selection. I have almost every N64 games.

Re: No rumble for Wii's VC

The rumble pack was a huge feature for the N64, and it could be easly used for the VC. For God's sake, the GC controller has one built-in, why disable it?

Some people may not care, but there are some games that really took advantage of this feature like Ocarina of Time. You need the rumble in order to find certain heart pieces.

I figure, I'm paying to download the game, I should get all the features.

Your only argument seems to be that you won't be able to use the Stone of Agony in Ocarina of Time...which is a pretty pathetic argument.
Bear in mind that only Nintendo 64 games used the rumble feature, and even then, not all of them made use of it.

The rumble feature never existed for NES and SNES games, so that's not a problem - and seeing as this is a Zelda forum, I'm guessing you already own Ocarina of Time, so if you're fool enough to download a game you already probably own twice (one for the Nintendo 64 and Gamecube) then you really need to stop wasting your money.

All true.

I'm curious myself as to why Nintendo did this. What sucks is that there's no port on the controller for an rumble pack attachment (i.e. N64). I enjoyed the rumble feature as well. I actually couldn't imagine playing some games without it - mainly the games that overused the feature (JetForce Gemini, Star Soilder: Vanishing Earth, Star Fox 64, Kirby 64, etc.); which was a good thing for me.

I'm using OoT as the best example. My main arguement is the fact that I'll be downloading N64 games, paying money, and I won't get all the features for some games.

By the way, I'm not downloading OoT on the VC, however, I will be downloading Starfox 64 which takes advantage of the rumble pak. It's dissapointing that I can't use that feature even though my GC controller has a built-in rumble pak...
