A Wii little question
Ok, ok, goe ahead call me stupid or whatever. I know i deserve it.
I did not preorder the wii, and went by today at EB Games and found out they werent doing the preordering anymore. It turned out, they sold out the first day of the preordering. So my question is this, is there any possible way to preorder the wii or possibly get one without preordering. I am extremely desperate here!

Re: A Wii little question
*moved to General Gaming*
Possibly the only way to get one would be to go to a best buy or walmart REALLY early. Like right when they open. I doubt anyone would preorder anymore til launch.

Re: A Wii little question
As far as I know it is now too close to the launch date for pre-orders. I know for a fact that Gamestop has stopped pre-orders for the Wii and TP. There's a very (and I mean VERY) remote chance that a Toys-r-us near you may be takeing pre-orders. I'd check web pages for all the game retailers around you to see if they are/we're taking pre-orders.
I'd suggest bringing riot gear if you're planning on hitting a walmart, target, ect. to get one on launch day.

Re: A Wii little question
Ebay has reserves for like $300 if you're that desperate.

Re: A Wii little question
I did that with the Gamecube at my Target, and I got a Gamecube no problem.

Re: A Wii little question
You can wait a while and see what's going on with amazon. If preorders don't become available again, you can try heading to a store really early on launch. A lot of people are talking about camping out in front of the store, but I don't know. You should probably get there about an hour before it opens, at least. The preorders sold out extremely fast.

Re: A Wii little question
But, the question is, was Gamecube as in much of a demand that the Wii is?

Re: A Wii little question
Bring a tent, sleeping bag, some food, toothbrush, towel, and some water. Start living in front of major retailers like Wal-mart 18 hours or so before they open on the Wii Launch Day.

Re: A Wii little question
Reminds of the Boxing Day. Groups of people with their sleeping bags, camping out in front of stores. Riot kits and the such appeared, and the whole community was in an uproar. Should have seen the carnages of karts slamming into each other as women grabbed each other's hair and men just going all out with fists flying.
On a more realistic note, I still think the store would have enough Wii for everyone on Launch Day.

Re: A Wii little question
I've already seen people camp out for the Wii and PS3 (which is ridiculous, I know).
Your best bet is to go to some store that doesn't pre-order them (the ones who pre-ordered get the Wii first; so who knows if the store has that many Wii's) and start camping out. I know that Best Buy doesn't do pre-orders, as well as Wal-Mart (and I think Target). Just don't camp out at a gaming store (i.e. EB games, GameStop, etc.). They'll probably only have enough Wii's for everyone who pre-ordered one.

Re: A Wii little question
Target does not do pre-orders, so 2 friends and I plan to camp out at Target, be the first in line... freakin sweet.
Target opens at around 7:30, So I have a question for all of you, do you think 5:30 is a good time to arrive there?

Re: A Wii little question
No. You have to be there much earlier than that...

Re: A Wii little question
Defiantly. Like I said, I've already seen people in line waiting for Wii's (and PS3's). You'll probably have to at least camp out for a day vacumgod.

Re: A Wii little question
Yeah. I'd suppose that you should be there around 5 or 6 hours early. Of course, if you COULD camp out like Dark Link said, the chances of you getting a Wii will be greater.
