EQ beaten again :)

Well, it's seams recently 3 guilds on the PvP server have slain the mighty sleeper. Only after their second attempt to (they would have done it the first time but, unfortuneatly SOE noticed and popped the server. Perhaps, EQ's laggiest event yet. Kinda makes me wish I played EQ just to see the battle.

Heh, that's actually rather funny.

I never really got into EQ, but every MMORPG I've become addicted to in the past has had its share of "unbeatable" enemies. I'm actually surprised the Sleeper could be killed.... you'd have thought it'd be made literally invincible, heh.

Alternatively, I'm surprised that it wasn't programmed to "run away", or that a "God" character (does EQ have such?) didn't come to its defense. I remember that, in one of the smaller MMORPGs I once became addicted to, the "Ancients" would regularly cheat slightly to prevent us players from destroying the natural order of things, heh.

Kinda a shame that they don't get massive kudos....

I hate MMORPGs. I don't know why. I've played some, and they weren't all that bad. I suppose that the part that really turns me off is that they often require massive amounts of time to complete, often getting in the way of other things, like school and sleep. It may also be the pay to play idea. I guess that the companies are justified in doing that, but it's really a turn off for me, especially with my lack of funds. I only get around 60 bucks a month, and most is spent on food and video games. I don't know if I could afford to pay 10 dollars a month.

Awesome. In Star Wars Galaxies, characters as Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine are the same. They cannot be killed though. You can defeat Darth Vader from what I've read, if you are an experienced Jedi Master. If you win, he is defeated, and he escapes. Seeing as Darth Vader is the Chosen One with huge power, that is unstarwarsistic in my eyes.

You can sure count on being hunted throughout the whole damn galaxy, seeing as Jedis are rare and hunted.

Awesome! I hate the very concept of MMORPGs (although I'll probably sell my soul to pay for WoW's monthly fees ), but even I am impressed by that.

Wow Kedisar...that does sound really awful At least you learned your leason; never ever pay any head to SOE. But, the fact I've only played one MMORPG isn't hindering me on playing WoW. I'm completely stoked for it, and as a cause to celebrate I played through WC2 today trying to figure out if Kadgar lived or died...as far as I can figure he lived though.

LOS: I see where you're coming from there, so what class is going to be your first in WOW ?

And as for Searonox, what I need is a new game that will consume time, I dont know if you've noticed this but lately games have been getting shorter and shorter, I need a game of epic perportions.
