Re: Game Recommendations V.2
I Have just bought Gears of war and i have to say its bloody amazing!
The graphics are seriously impressive and the gameplay is pretty good to boot! Although its story and setting are not really realistic (Its set on a human inhabited planet called Sera which has been overrun by an subterranean alien army :0 ) The way it handles gun battles is really quite exciting. You cant take many hits at all before you are killed so this game requires that you find and use cover alot more then other shooter games of this type. This makes firefights much more exciting because you dont feel like some super hero that can take 100 bullets without even limping I really do reccomend it!

Re: Game Recommendations V.2
Good recommendations.. lets see:
For Gamecube, I would have to definatley say Metroid Prime and Prime 2 Echoes. FPS types but its still pretty amazing (Metroid Fan lol). For a good racing game, try F-zero. It may take some time getting used to, but once you get it down its really enjoyable. I still play it time to time. For those who have a Wii and are looking for something interesting and different, try out Trauma Center : Second Oppinion. I got that along with Zelda and have been playing it alot. It is a medical drama, but it is indeed amazing. The whole operating process is nifty! |

Re: Game Recommendations V.2
I've got a few recomendations for the systems that haven't been expressed:
PS2 Ace Combat 04 - The biggest draw for this cheap and it's an incredible arcade flight sim. I still pick it up and play it on the hardest difficulty level occasionally. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys flight sims of any caliber, or just flying the F-22 for kicks... .Final Fantasy X and XII - Oh come on, they're Final Fantasies...I shouldn't really have to explain these, should I...? (Haven't played X-2, but if you really like FFX, give it try and see how you like it...)Gamecube Resident Evil 4 - Fun, fun, fun, fun...and fun. I had never played a RE game before, but after 4, I'm definitely hooked on the series. Excellent visuals and gameplay, and it's long too. Definitely a must-have for GC owners. Super Smash Bros. Melee - Wonderful multiplayer game, and plenty of extras to keep your thumbs blistered for months.... Freedom Fighters - A great third-person shooter that never gets the credit it deserves. It's short, but incredibly fun, and presents surprisingly deep tactical problems without being too terribly difficult. PC Games FEAR - Incredible graphics and gameplay. Make sure to play it with all the doors and windows closed and a very dark room.... .FarCry - Very cheap FPS that few people seem to play. Very long campaign, tough enemies, and huge maps that are a beauty to behold. Sid Meier's Pirates - It has pirates! PIRATES! Great for quick, silly fun that has great charm.

Any bloody, violent, disturbing, quick two player game, preferably shooter or fighter.
For either the PS2 or Cube. It's for a project for school.

Well... some people up there covered my recommendations, but I would like to add some RPG games, such as:
Gamecube: - Tales of Symphonia - Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance Portable Nintendo consoles: - The three Fire Emblem games(Sword of Seals only available through emulator + translation patch) - Golden Sun AND Golden Sun: The Lost Age.

Re: Game Recommendations V.2
Resident Evil 4, what more do i have to say, buy the PS2 version and you get seperate ways as well as an extra set of costumes, and dont forget the P.R.L. Sadly though getting the handcannon is still a pain in the A**!! Still i recommend RE4, especially if your a RE fan, be warned though that it has absolutely nothing to do with zombies and doesnt focus on umbrella being the enemy.

Re: Game Recommendations V.2
So I'm getting a 360 for Christmas...
I'm only going to be able to get about 3 games... these are the ones I have in mind. Gears Of War Perfect Dark Zero Viva Pinata (For my sister) No matter what I have to get that pinata game... cause Caladrius needs something to play >.> But is there anything better than Gears and PDZ? |

Re: Game Recommendations V.2
Note: Caldrius and I need to atleast both like one of the games. To even things out.
Cala... is a Harvest Moon fan >.> Abd only likes a VERY select few FPS games. Mostly just Bond games... So if I get Gears and she gets that... Pinata game (>.>) we need one game we can agree on. Question: Does PDZ have bots? |

Re: Game Recommendations V.2
Twilight; PDZ isn't that great of a game. The story immensely sucks. And the single-player campaign gets tedious after a while. The multilayer is ok; but so is practically every other FPS game on the 360
.Instead of PDZ (which is probably a good game to rent; not own), I'd choose Elder Scroll's IV: Oblivion or Call of Duty 3 (CoD 3 being a much better FPS game then PDZ).

Re: Game Recommendations V.2
Yeah, I need some help. My dad, while a great guy, doesn't understand that all Zelda game are different. In our conversation, I told him each one had different music, graphics, overworlds, enemies, etc., but then he tells me they are all basically the same thing, same story. He then turned around and told me (this is on the phone, so I couldn't show him) that I should get a sports game or fighting game. Of course, I said they all revolved around the same thing and each one is pretty much the same thing, but in the end I was defeated. I believe he will get me only one Zelda GBA game.
Thank you for listening to my rant. I think he'll only get me one Zelda GBA game. I need to choose between Adventure of Link, A Link to the Past, and Legend of Zelda. I have TMC, and the Oracles/LA don't seem worth it now. Which one should I get? Here are the pros and cons for each, each gotten from what I've heard or what my friend Danny says. Adventure of Link PROS 1: Only one that side-scrolls, very different. 2: Very challenging and quoting my friend, "You will never beat it". Hes played each Zelda but TMC, so I believe him. I'm up for a challenge. 3: Being longer, I probably won't get bored of it so quickly like TMC. CONS 1: If my friend is right, it may be very frustrating. 2: Side-Scrolling would be new to me, thus, being harder is also a con. 3: My friend says it is more challenging, not fun. A Link to the Past PROS 1: Game with the most items. 2: Better graphics, that funky Dark World theme. 3: 2 different overworlds and includes the Wise Men and Hylian Knights, who I am interested in. 4: A game big on placing Timeline theories. 5: Some consider it better than OoT or TP. Cons 1: Not the best graphics, but an improvement. 2: I've listened to all the music, and only the Overworld ones interest me. Legend of Zelda Its the classic that started it all. So, which one should I get. And if I did get all 3, which should I play first? Money isn't an issue in this, I want to know opinions on this game. I think LoZ can be excluded, since it is kinda crappy, so its more of a race between AoL and ALttP. P.S. If you want to call him a Zelda n00b, I accept that as a compliment.

Re: Game Recommendations V.2
LOZ is a much better game then AOL (in a "Zelda sense"). Out of all the Zelda games in the "official" series; AOL is probably the worst. I'd get ALttP if I were you. It's considered (to some) the best Zelda game in the series for a reason
.
