Wasn't sure if this should go in an existing thread or not, but for all the Aussies here, thought I'd post this.
December 7
$399 Australian
Comes with Wii Sports
Sounds good. The day before my birthday too. Hooray. Price could've been a bit cheaper I thought. Cube launched here for $320 Australian, though initially it was going to be $399 Aus, but then Xbox dropped their price before Cube came out and Nintendo dropped theirs in response.
Still, it's here before the end of the year. Hooray.
$399! THESE PRICES ARE NEVER TO BE REPEATED!
AT THESE PRICES THE WII WILL BE WALKING OUT THE DOOR!
*ahem*
Yer pretty sweet, glad the Wii is coming before the end of the year but I'm a tiny bit disappointed that it's costing that much and not a bit cheaper, but for what it is, I think it's worth that lil bit more. But Pray-tell, I won't be getting one straight away on the release day.
What's in the box for $399.95?
• Wii console - white
• 1x Wii Remote
• Nunchuk attachment
• Console stand
• Sensor bar and stand
• AV composite/component cable
• AC adaptor
• 2x AA batteries

More are set to be unveiled in the near future.
You lucky Aussies, Americans and Japanese already know the price and the release date... Here at Europe, we have to wait more than you did. So December 7th? I hope that it'll be the same price, date and offer here in Europe/Greece, too. We'll see. You lucky Aussies...
Pfft, too expensive to buy straight away. As much of a Ninty fan that I am I'd rather wait 'til it goes down in price. On the other hand, I can't wait until it is $89, like the GCN is at Target.
The release date isn't that much of a surprise. It is reasonable.
My friend's gonna go bananas about this new information. He's got a pretty well stocked savings account, and I'm sure he's not hesitant to fork out the 399.95 (repeater) dollars.
Whats wrong with 400? Think about it. Its a great price. Wii sports, even though the small game it is would have been priced at about $70 so we are actually spending 330 on the console. Wi-Fi straight out of the box aswell. You don't have to buy a $100 Wi-Fi thingy like you do for 360..
The price doesn't suprise me actually. We Aussies are the battered housewives of the gaming world. We get beaten daily and just keep coming back for more. From what i understand there have been alot of pre-orders for Wii here already.
It will be $499.90 NZ Dollars and be released December 7 with Wii Sports included.
Oh my ******ing gosh.
Ok I was willing to accept $250 America, thats $377 New Zealand. That was Ok.
I saw the Ozie price, $400, thats $450 New Zealand... That's pushing it but ok.
BUT... $500??@!# Thats crazy.
This better be worth it. In the American press release, they said the Wii-mote and Numchunk will cost $60 together.
Thats $90 New Zealand, $79 Australian....
