I made this thread so everybody with a question about any of the games 'Pokemon Yellow/Blue/Red/Silver/Gold/Crystal/Sapphire/Ruby' can ask their question right here, or simply discuss the game. Or give each other tips, etc.
I myself have a question -- Can I trade Pokemon with the older versions if I am using Sapphire or Ruby? I want my Mew and Celebi from my Silver in my Sapphire game. So I was thinking of trading them over to Sapphire someday, but I want to know if I can or not.

Re: Official Pokémon Blue/Silver/Sapphire Games Thread
Probably wills. Im not sure. Doubt it though because there is a GBA Game and GBC colour games. So, but thats why i think they are bringing out Red and Blue again so you can get those pokemon again!
I think those games are called Leaf and fire...or Leaf and Fire or Ice or something!

Re: Official Pokémon Blue/Silver/Sapphire Games Thread
You're right. I read in a Sapphire/Ruby guide something like ''Don't worry about the old Pokemon, Nintendo will in time solve this some way''.
And in the FAQ, someone asked why the old Pokemon aren't there, and it was answered ''For now it is not possible, but it soon will be.''

Re: Official Pokémon Blue/Silver/Sapphire Games Thread
No, you can not trade between older versions of pokemon with Ruby/Sapphire. Until Leaf Green and Fire Red comes out that is.
I own Yellow, Blue and Gold Pokemon versions in real life. Blue used to have my best save game until I deleted it. I had every single TM, Every single Pokemon; most of them trained to Lv.100, I basically had the ultimate Pokemon team and lots of other stuff. I have the rom of Sapphire but I got tired of playing it just after I found the dive HM I think. Still, it had some nice music and it wasn't too bad.

Re: Official Pokémon Blue/Silver/Sapphire Games Thread
People seem to get tired of it as soon as they beat it. I don't, seeing as I keep training my Pokemon, or I simply decide to refresh my team a bit.
But with Silver... That game was the best Pokemon game I ever played. It offered Johto, and Kanto. That was just the best thing ever, revisiting the good ol' places, talking to persons like Ashs mom, or Gary, etc. Man, too bad they never included something like Johto or Kanto in Sapphire. IMO, they left out alot from Sapphire that could have been easily added, like the night-and-day system. Sometimes, Nintendo amaze me how they can let stuff like this slip by. Oh and, ideas about Pokemon games might as well be posted here as well. My idea is that there should be an online system. Simply, you walk around, and you can see people walking around as well. You press A to communicate, and you start chatting. You can have battles, team up, or trade items. Almost like EverQuest, but in Pokemon 2D.

Re: Official Pokémon Blue/Silver/Sapphire Games Thread
I wouldn't get tired of the game if I owned it in real life. But since it was a rom I wasn't as hard pressed to finish it. Gold was my favourite one but Blue put up a pretty hard fight.
And they did let a lot of stuff slip by in Sapphire/Ruby. They never had a third game come out with it did they? Like a Crystal/Yellow type thingy.

Re: Official Pokémon Blue/Silver/Sapphire Games Thread
I geuss the new pokemon pinball counts for that.
I story line hat I would like is you being control of team rocket, or owning your own gym, Like a Hero and Evil story line. I think it would be cool, also I wish they would get a new storyline, the "Pokemon Master" Story line is getting old.

Re: Official Pokémon Blue/Silver/Sapphire Games Thread
NO there's no third game in the Advance series, instead you're being treated to completely new remakes of the original Red and Blue/Green games. Fire Red and Leaf Green will contain all 150 (maybe Mew, don't know yet) pokemon from the original Chromatic games, and will also (it's looking this way) include all related evolutions and prevolutions, such as Porygon2, Kingdra, Politoed, the baby pokemon and Eeveelutions from GSC.
You'll be able to trade then between RS and FRLG. Also when Colleseum is released, the adventure mode feaured on it, will allow you to 'rescue' pokemon from evil trainers. This will allow you to obtain all the other pokemon, ie. the Metallic series pokemon. Anyway, I own Red, Silver and Sapphire, and I'll be getting Leaf Green when it's released (I hope and pray it's not changed to Water Blue). I visit two pokemon message boards, which I've been going to for about 3 and a half years now. I moderate the RBY boards on both, so if anyone needs team or game help on the original Chromatic series, feel free to ask, i'm always ready to help.

Re: Official Pokémon Blue/Silver/Sapphire Games Thread
Thanks for the rather interesting information, RaZoR. And why not get the game in real life? I'm getting it tomorrow, I just deleted my Sapphire rom (I had tried the game as a 'test').
Comment my idea in my previous post, it is marked in italic (like that). And man, they let too many things slip by, you're right. I wish they could release a third version like Crystal and Yellow.

Re: Official Pokémon Blue/Silver/Sapphire Games Thread
I have Blue, Red and Silver. They are pretty good, even for games like today. I reckon they should remake Silver as well, or be able to go to all 3 reigions. Kanto, Johto and Hoenn.
I got Ruby on my PC, and got around 152 pokemon so far. Got the 3 Regi's, Groudon and Rayguaza(sp?). The Pokemon fad, may be long gone, but the games are still good. heh....

Re: Official Pokémon Blue/Silver/Sapphire Games Thread
ya the games are fun, the show is o.k but the cards are useless (unless you sell them to someone or keep them ad then put them up as display in a mueseum when your 100) There have been screens released of Pokemon Leaf Green and Flame Red but I don't know if they are real cause if Gamespot doesn't have em and neither dose Planet Gamecube I get a bit suspicious.

Re: Official Pokémon Blue/Silver/Sapphire Games Thread
Hmm, I train my Pokemon in the normal way. I let them battle tough opponents, or I bring out a weak Pokemon FIRST, and then switch to a stronger one so the weaker Pokemon gets experience. I did this with Abra.
I got the game yesterday... And it rocks (Sapphire btw). I got Swellow (Taillows evolution) and Kadabra (Abras evoloution). I also got Combusken, and I am thinking of getting more Pokemon, I need some good water type, a grass one as well. Electric too...

Re: Official Pokémon Blue/Silver/Sapphire Games Thread
hmm for electric I definately recommend Magnetrike (or something like that
) it's pre-evolution is a small green dog looking thingy that you meet near those other little things that look like Pichu with batteries on their forheads.Forgive me, it's been a long time since I played that game :S

Re: Official Pokémon Blue/Silver/Sapphire Games Thread
Quote:
-Make sure you haven't battled the Youngster with a Level 17 Slowpoke, on the way to Bill's house. If you have, the code won't work. -Also make sure you haven't battled the Gambler with two Poliwags and a Poliwhirl. He is facing the Underground Path toward Celadon city...on Route 8. If you have, the code won't work either. -You need Fly. (Aka HM02) And of course, a flying type with the move equipped and LtSurge's badge so you can use it. -Get some Ultra Balls, and anything else you would use to catch a Level 7 Mew, that only knows Pound. ================================================== ======= Go to the Gambler I talked about before. Save AT the door he is facing. Don't make him battle you. SAVE HERE, this is tricky. Now, step one step towards him, and PRESS START. Really fast. If you did it right, it will pop up, but he won't battle you. (This shouldn't work for any other trainer) Now Fly to Cerulean City. [If you've done this right, after you use Fly, he will get the "!" over his head] Note: You cannot use START, A, or B. Note: Do NOT save anywhere after this. First of all, you can't save when your buttons don't work. But second, when they work again, saving will ruin the Mew code, and not allow you to get the Mew. Ever. Keep your saved file from before you battled the Gambler. [If you've done this right, you can't press Start] Walk (you can't use start) to the Youngster, and when you battle him, make sure he WALKS TO YOU. Don't go directly in front of him. Beat him, and (now your buttons work) Fly to Lavender Town (Or Saffron City). [If you've done this right, the Start menu WILL pop up when it should] Now if you went to Lavender, go to the left of town, and start to enter that narrow passageway. If you went to Saffron, go right, to where the guard lets you past if you give him a drink. Either way, the Start menu will pop up. Do NOT save here. Press B. Mew will appear. This is your ONLY chance. (unless you go to your save file before the Gambler) Ta-Da...its a Mew. Hope that explains it for you. It does work incase anyone chooses to discount it, i've tried it myself, hundreds of people have tried it, and there's video footage of the event taking place on various websites. William Zelda4ever - Catch an Electrike (that's the name Skate_dude was after) on the path north of Slateport City. For a water type, you can catch Marril on the path west of Mauville City.
