What was the hardest video game you ever played?

Most of you, I can safely say, have played a lot more video games besides Zelda. But what are some of the hardest you've ever played? As for me, Id have to say the Final Fantasy games. Its not that its too difficult for me, but the idea of doing all of that powerleveling, training your men and buying the right equipment really dosen't suit me. I don't know; perhaps I just like to go up to a monster and slash it to death, not wait until Im at level 999 in order to have a chance at it. I have played Final Fantasy, though, and enjoyed it. But it does get frustrating at times. And the random battles...... They're just not me.

For me, it's Majora's Mask. The time system confuses me and I can't figure out the water temple! I got as far as the room where the boss's room is, but nothing happened when I moved it!

Anyway, I played Balloon Fight once, that is my second hardest. I die one lousy time and it's game over already!

Ninja Gaiden. Figuring out how to kill the bosses will cost at least one death if you're not using a guide and it's your first time. I'm stuck at the helicopter. >_<

Devil May Cry series. Although, the only one I've played thoroughly was the third one, I'm quite sure that it's the same system throughout the whole series.

As you can see, I'm not much of an action game-type person. I do bad in those games until I learn the ropes, and even then, there's still improvement to be done. I don't think my reaction time is as great as I claim it to be, which is probably why action games seem a bit difficult for me.

For me.. I don't know really.. I think it's either Mario Kart DS, because it's such a hard game to get really good at, or.. The First zelda game.

Adventure of Link. The hardest Zelda game i've ever played

Have any of you guys played the Phantasy Star Collection? I thought they were very hard, giant dungeons with no save, recovery or sense of direction, coupled with fiendish enemies.

It would have to be....... Evalution Worlds (Don't know if I spelled the first word right). I got stuck in it. It really is hard to beat after the first story. But, it sucks now.

Probably a Megaman game. There was this one Gameboy Megaman game I had that was sooo hard. After a couple months or so, though, I could totally beat in an hour or so.

Tom and Jerry: Frantic Antics for the Sega Genesis. No save system, pits everywhere, enemies everywhere, and stunted jump with big gaps. Ugh. How could they do that to a child!?

One of the hardest games for me, was Baten Kaitos. The last boss was really hard and it took me about a million tries before I finally beat it.

hmm...hard to decide, but i'll have to go with Zone of the Enders: Second Runner. Just the bosses were incredibly hard, especially the last one. Other than that, probably Call of Duty 2 for the 360 on Veteran mode. Fricken impossible.

Transformers: Convoy No Nazu for the NES. I made it to the last boss: Dinosaur- but there it ended. The game is impossible, i have never beat Dinosaur yet lived long enough to be able to get back to him again. I've only met him twice and both times i lost bigtime...

Contra, man. Contra. After playing it for a long time, I still couldn't beat the game. My reflexes weren't fast enough apparently. It was one hit, one kill format.

I can't really think of the hardest game I've ever played, but I can think of the hardest game to complete. That would be none other than Super Monkey Ball 2. God, that game was absolutly insane. It took so many hours of my life to beat all the damn levels in that game. It's a great game, don't get me wrong, but the difficulty is shadowed by it's quirky image.

Beware of this game.

DDR. Any of them. It's a stupid game, and I hate it...cause it's hard and I can't do it.

I think the hardest game I ever played was FFCC. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. I started a new game because I started out as a Selkie and it didn't work out at the end when you have to kill the miasma monster, because I kept dying. So I started a new game with a Yuke, and it's taking a very long time to get to the point of that of the Selkie game.

Ninja Gaiden Black, most definatly, still haven't beat it. It's impossibly hard to play, and so many people would agree with me.

Yeah, the final bosses (there are three of them in a row!) of Crystal Chronicles are extremely hard if your character is not properly leveled up. I remember going to the final boss at year 11, and getting my ass handed to me so bad.
