Re: Conker's Bad Fur Day (for N64)

Honestly, reloaded felt more like a cheap visual update instead of a reamke.

Infact, I'm almost certain that's exactly what it was: It even had the same gltiches as the orginal, pretty much shows they took the exact same game and updated minor parts of it. Instead of building a totally new frame for the game, ala REmake.

Yeah that's...why they were broken. They just owned every other weapon and took no skill to use at all.

I liked the Katana. Only cause humans can't see you on radar. Other than that the Machine Guns were one of the best items in mulitplayer.

Re: Conker's Bad Fur Day (for N64)

Yeah. I loved the Katana so much, just because I was very efficient with it ;D. But at the same time it was a challange because if you were spotted you couldn't really do much if they had ranged weapons except run away.

*edit* And actually, if you notice, you can jump much higher, and land from big falls without getting hurt? That's also another reason why I love the Katana, oh and two quick slices = Death.

Well if you play WAR not colors you can kill yourself to prevent them from gaining a point.

Remember when you bring that baby dino in Chapter 5(?) and he eats the cavemen? And when you get to Unga Bunga he farts as he jumps down? but my favorite scene is the one "Mugged". That race was cool.

Re: Conker's Bad Fur Day (for N64)

There were three great scenes in that game... The third best was the fight with the boss made entirely out of crap. And it was a musical. The second best was the bull fighting scene. The best scene of the game, in my opinion, was the arguments the pitchfork had with the paint pot and brush. Good times...

Oh god that argument. Lol they kept telling pitchfork "come'on go over there and kick his ass." That was probably the best cutscene in the whole game.

God, I hate that race. I died so many times in that area that I almost stopped playing. But I felt bad about that baby dino. He didn't have to get crushed....

Re: Conker's Bad Fur Day (for N64)

If you get used to the race its pretty easy. I can't tell you, though, how many times I died just trying to get on the board to start it. At least the baby had a good life of eating little people before it died.

Re: Conker's Bad Fur Day (for N64)

Oh... I hated the baby dino in chapter 5, if you walked too far away it would stop and you had to go back to it and it kept on saying, 'Mommy, Luigi!' and I probably think that, that was the worst thing about Conkers bad furday, and other bad things include:
1) Having to piss on those giant rocks in the disco
2) The red lasers in the WAR level, and if you hit them they took away 2 health bars
3) When the electric water is rising after defeating the first boss, man that is annoying!

But I liked the part where you had to carry a bomb to the other side of the 5th level, and skateboarding on lava, also I loved multi-player because playing 2 Player with my cousin was class! We kicked total ass when the enemies were on Einstein! (It was hard though...)
Oh, and Einstein and Inbred, which one is better? Or is bastard better than those? (I'm talking about changing the enemies level to hard and easy and stuff)

1. I loved that part.
2. Oh yeah, those pissed me off.
3. I kind of liked that. It made it challenging. Plus, it waas funny how Conker looked when he got shocked.

I just kept it at one level when I first got it and left it as is. I wonder on what level each of them are on.

Re: Conker's Bad Fur Day (for N64)

I hated in "Its War!" when you had to escape and all you had was a rocket launcher and you had to just jump and run for your life or die. But I liked that little cursing hand puppet that the big teddy had. She was a funny one. Oh how can I forget fighting Herinch in that suit from the Alien movie. That was a fun part.
*edit* anyone know if theres a speed run on it on the web? I'd like to see that.

Re: Conker's Bad Fur Day (for N64)

Ugh, it's easily one of the most overrated games out there. Story mode just wasn't that good, at all. Play control was even worse than Castlevania 64.

Okay, that's just cruel, it's almost as bad. Multiplayer was a blast though. Lots of good game modes and weapons in that one.

The 'remake' was terrible. As Tigerboi said, nothing but a graphical update. It's one of the many reasons why I consider Rare to be one of the biggest disappointments this generation.

Re: Conker's Bad Fur Day (for N64)

Conker's Bad Fur Day and Banjo & Kazooie were the only 2 games I liked from them. I still have Banjo-Tooie but after that they stopped. I remember being stupid and asking how to get back into Gruntilda's Lair but of course it can't happen. Anyway I hated the zombie and the farm chapters. They weren't fun at all. Except when the paintbrush and buket kept yelling at Franky to kick Conker's ass. The zombie level did't make sense to me at all and the 3 keys thing was retarded. I wish Nintendo would go ahead with more games but work a bit on the storyline and all. From what I understand a greedy squirrel is looking for his girlfriend after he got lost after getting drunk.
