Wii's Backcatalouge

Sorry if there is a thread on this i couldn't find one

So we all know the Wii will be able to download all of nintendo's glorious games from the past.

So what i want to know is what everyone is thinking of downloading, for me it will be any zelda games i dont have, then maybe some mario games or FF (i love RPGs) but i all depends how much it costs.

Re: Wii's Backcatalouge

Of course I will have to download Banjo Kazooie and Donkey Kong. Smash Bros., Star Fox, Mario, Zelda, Goldeneye, Mario Kart, etc. will all be on there, if possible. All of the games I played in the past will be on there. Balloon Fight will most definately. I don't know, well, pretty much anything that I can.

Are they gunna build a heat proofe slingshot to send it to Corneria?... Maybe you flew so close to this planet cause you were bored, that makes a little sence I guess.

Re: Wii's Backcatalouge

It all depends on how much it'll cost. I'll be really impressed if they had different downloadable versions of some classic games (e.g. Gold Edition Ocarina of Time).

I'll probably download all the classics, and all the greatest hits. I can't really think of anything in paticular, but I'll defiantly download all the classic Metriod games as well as all the Mana games (I want those!). Hopefully Nintendo's will have plenty of downloadable content when the Wii launches.

Re: Wii's Backcatalouge

I want to get some SNES games, definitley. Super Mario Kart, Super Mario 3, maybe Lylat Wars/Star Fox for the N64... There's tons of games I want to get!

Re: Wii's Backcatalouge

First and foremost, I'll back up the majority of my N64 catalogue. Not instantly of course, but over time I'll build it up.

Then there's the NES and SNES titles. I'm pretty sure I'll need to comb the list of available games thoroughly in order to find what I want.

But hopefully, Twilight Princess and any other games I obtain at launch will occupy my time before I even consider diving into the past.

The games in bold will almost definately not be coming to the Wii, not now Rare is disapointingly part of Microsoft. I'm pretty pissed actualy, becouse Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie were gonna be top of my list of N64 games to get
But aside from the games i can't have, the only ones i think i'll end up getting are all the old classic NES and SNES games like Kid Icarus and Bomberman...
oh, and a couple of Sega classics like Soleil and Kid Chameleon...

Yeah, I forgot about that. I think I read somewhere on IGN that those games would be part of the list.

I wouldnt be so sure about the Donkey Kong franchise, after all Nintendo does own rights to the characters, and posibly ideas (gameplay, story, etc...) Goldeneye might also appear because as I recall the characters and ideas are owned by another company. Unfortunately I believe Banjo Kazooie IS a Rare original which means there is pretty much no chance it will appear on the backcatalouge. =(

I personanly have been yerning to get my hands on a copy of Mystical Ninja 64. I have the ROM of the SNES game, and the ROM of the 64 game, but the 64 ROM has horible framerate problems running on my PC and I have no ****ing clue where my original cartridges are. (I need a new vid card =( ) I also hope Chameleon Twist 2 is availible, as well as Paper Mario and SSB. Im also going to want NES and SNES clasics such as SMB, SMB3, Mystical Ninja, Balloon Fighter, Super Metroid, LoZ, AoL, ALttP, FFII, and Starfox. I just hope it'll all be cheep enough for me.
