Good 'ol Frankie gave Halo players something to drool for as he states that Bungie is putting together a documentary on the Halo 3 trailer that was shown at E3. The documentary will show the process of making the trailer, complete with new angles of the action shown in the trailer. Also, today Bungie is celebrating a serious milestone with Halo 2 multiplayer. As of noon today, a half-billion Halo 2 matches have been played via Xbox Live. This isn't player sessions - this is actual matches. That's a lot of fraggin'!

A documentary sounds interesting (but nothing to drool over). At least we'll be able to figure out how good graphically Halo 3 will be.

500,000,000! Half a BILLION matches. That's an incredible number. Has any online video game even accomplished such a feat (not that I know of)? This goes to show how popular Halo still is (note: I don't own any of the Halo games). That's a lot of fraggin' indeed! Hopefully, we'll see more numbers like this in the video game industry in the near future. And with the unveiling of the Wii and PS3, it just might happen.

Great now more Halo wannabes will love this. That's the only thing Halo is good for. Online playing.

Eh... it's nothing that special. We all know that Halo was hyped up and is still hyped because of its gameplay. Halo 2 wasn't that unique actually, just an upgraded version of Halo 1. I only said this because I've played Halo 2 at Microsoft and quite frankly, I was not impressed. Halo 1 was great.

Thats basicly what a sequal is supposed to be. Continue the story and make the game better than the original. An upgraded version.

I watched the trailer for the documentary, pretty cool. Little tiny bit of stuff cut out of the game trailer, though it wasn't much at all, just some better angles really.

^ I don't how many times I've explained that to people. A sequel is SUPPOSED to be an upgrade of the original game.

To make a video game sequel, one has to take the gameplay basis from the first game and build on it in some positive ways. That's what a good sequel is, and that's what I think Halo 2 is.

I have yet to see one sequel that didn't play like the orginal.


The bungie weekly was posted. Dropped some hints on what Halo 3 will be like.

It was said that they will be adding in some new vehicles and making upgrades to the previous ones. (I hope they get rid of the warthog chain gun. I hate it. A standard 50 cal turret would be so much better. Also, I would like the banshee to have weak guns but good armor. And a fuel rod canon.) They also announced that there will be new weapons, on in which the author described as being "really cool".

Actually, the trailer was rendered in real-time on a 360; those were just different camera angles.

The documentary did have a few quick glimpses of models and storyboards in development.
