The Two game systems that are never mentioned

I remember years and years ago these 2 systems were mention and were said to come out soon in Game Informer and EG. Everyone I talk to never heard of these or know little about them. The name of these 2 myserious systems are the Phantom and the Tapewave's Zodiac. I'll give you some brief info on them:

Phantom was claimed to have a hardrive like a computer. The company Infinium Labs™, claimed it to be 5 times faster than the average gamers computer. It graphics were suppose to be the state of the art and it offered a cool feature where the owner could buy games and accesories right from the system and expect it to be at his house the next day. This was because it wasn't going to be sell in stores. It hasn't came out yet. Will it ever? http://www.phantom.net/

The Tapewave's Zodiac is a handheld. I can't find the website I remember hearing it already released some games. It looks something like the PSP. Hmm... maybe sony copied. it was suppose to be the first handheld with an analog stick and it was claimed to play mp3. Sounds I lot like PSP.

So what do you think? Have these systems came out? Why the hell are are they never mentioned? Does anyone care?

Re: The Two game systems that are never mentioned

Phantom was exposed as a hoax and a scam. It never existed, and Infinium Labs was merely an investor trap.

Tapwave went bankrupt last year, and the Zodiac died with them.

And how do we know we're supposed to believe you? That you're not just trying to make a mod close this? Well, give some proof that you're right. 'Kay? 'Kay.

What the hell are you ralking about?! Why would he want a Mod to close it? I'm just gonna back away slowly... He already gave proof that the Phantom existed (well not really, but it was spoken of), and here's a picture of the Tapwave Zodiac:

Shame that Phantom was a hoax. And the Tapwave Zodiac looked very cool and up to date!

Source one: The Securities and Exchange Comission. Also see HardOCP's original investigative report on the Phantom. Infinium labs sued HardOCP for libel, but lost when they were unable to produce any evidence of the Phantom's existence.

Source two: Wikipedia. The Tapwave site had an apology listed for its discontinuation of Zodiac support, but since the company is bankrupt, the site has now been taken down.

Next time, before you accuse me of making up facts, you should try a little thing called Google. It literally took me three minutes to dig these sources up again.

Re: The Two game systems that are never mentioned

I heard of them but just thought of them as all the other copies of consoles most of them never come in to actual production or are just really, really bad.

Re: The Two game systems that are never mentioned

I remember both of them. Infinium Labs was just metioned on IGN or maybe a magazine....I'll find it. But they change there name to Infinium games or something like that.

EDIT

Found it.

...you may have heard by now that Infinium Labs, maker of the infamous Phantom console, have officially changed their name to Phantom Entertainment. I'll leave it to all you fine witty fellows to make all the puns about how apt the name is.

Anyway, if you read the comments, you will see a respondent linking to the news story of Infinium's founder being charged with stock fraud. This is the culmination of an investigation that started over a year ago.
