Pre-ordering

I rang up Game today which is my local game store. Since the DS Lite is coming out...I wanted to sell a few stuff to get it. I only phoned to know the amount of £ cash I would get for a PS2. They said it's £40 for cash and £50 for trade-ins. I then asked if it would be possible for me to trade it in for with the £20 deposit for the DS Lite. They told me that when I trade-it, the £20 is knocked off (something like that) and then I'd have a £30 deposit. I didn't get it.

It's either that or I wait until the DS comes out. But that might be risky since the PS2 trade-in price might drop alot.

What do you recommend? And how does the pre-ordering work anyways?

When does the Lite come out in your region? I don't think you have to worry too much about the PS2 price dropping that fast.

It comes out 23rd June here in the UK. The person who picked up the phone warned me about the price dropping. So I should wait for it?
