Re: games you recently bought

i just bought a game boy advance last week. the game i got for it was golden sun. about the matrix game.... i read a review for it in the newspaper and they said it didn't have a plot or something like that. they thought it could have been better if they had worked longer on it in development. i don't have it so i can't have an opinion.

Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne... and it's amazing So good, in fact, that I probably won't be bothering with any other games for awhile,. and it is also responsible for my less frequent forum visits

The most recent game I bought was Sonic Adventure 2: battle. That game is a load of crap and left no positive impression. My respect for Sonic games has lowered because of it.

Re: games you recently bought

The Latest game I got was The Wind Waker and Master Quest. I haven't bought a game in quite a while. That's why I'm so stinking bored out of my mind!

The next game I'm going to get is F-Zero GX with doesn't come out till August 25...

I have borrowed one though, Star Ocean: The Second Story, any one with a PS1 of PS2 should check it out. It is one of the funnest RPG's I have played in a while.

Re: games you recently bought

Well, its been awhile since I last bought a game. I got like 13$, and I'm saving up to get 40 for Megaman: Network Transmission. But my gamecube's messed up, my bro might send it in to get it fixed sometime soon, I hope! The most recent game I got would be Castlevania: Circle of The Moon, which rocks!

Yeah, Darkness, Star Ocean kicks A$$! Its one of the greatest rpg's of all times. If you've got a PS2, you should rent or get Star Ocean 3: Till The End of Time...

Re: games you recently bought

Go ahead and laugh, but I just picked up PAPER MARIO (N64) at a flea market and was SHOCKED to discover it's an RPG!! I thought it was a run-to-the-right platformer game!

Of course it didn't come with box or manual. All I could remember was that Paper Mario was VERY highly rated and incorporated old-school Nintendo sidescrolling. I was ready for some old fashioned Koopa bashing!

All of a sudden I'm managing six menus, questing for magic items, watching mini-movies and - worst of all - TAKING TURNS TO FIGHT!?! Aw, man! I haven't done that since I was a kid playing the old AD&D melee rules...with dice!!

I'm not cut out for this RPG stuff. The pace is killing me! I just want to press "RUN AWAY" everytime I'm attacked because the basic combat system is so weird and annoying.

*SIGH* If I wasn't such a Nintendo nerd I'd throw this game on the junk pile and let Bowser keep Peach...but I guess I'm stuck trying to beat him.

You know, Paper Mario is very cool in other ways, but how do people get used to these boring menu battles?

Re: games you recently bought

I felt that way until I played Earthbound. I guess that unless the plot grabs you, RPGs do get pretty blah.

Re: games you recently bought

I got Burnout 2: Point of Impact last Wednesday. It is really really fun, if you're into the whole "Arcade Racer" genre.

I'm going to buy Sonic Adventure DX soon too.

Re: games you recently bought

The last game that I bought just recently was MegaMan Battle Network 3 Blue. There's not a big difference from MBN2, but it's still fairly good.

Re: games you recently bought

Here is some advice oldBeane, don't buy SAX especially if you already have a DC or it on DC. It is the second buggiest game i have ever played, the buggiest being GTA: VC which i couldn't stand. It is a very short game, the Big the cat play just is not fun, you'll fall through the floor more times than you can count too.

The only and i mean only remotely redeming feature and only motivation to play through the game is the Game Gear Games. And even then Game Gear Games are cheap these days.

Why not, it has new features that the DC didnt have, like the all new Mission mode and mini-game collection.

Dont tell him he shouldnt get it, becuase he already made up his mind.

Re: games you recently bought

I LOVE RPGs!! It's my favorite video game genre ever!! I'd take an RPG any day over a first-person shooter. I can't stand first-person shooters...

Oh, yeah, by the way, the last game I bought was The Wind Waker and Master Quest. But I've rented Super Mario Sunshine and Lost Kingdoms recently. I LOVE Lost Kingdoms simply because it's an RPG on the GC. If anyone else knows any other good RPGs for the GC, I'd really like to know about them.
