Re: Three Revolution titles
Hmm the back stories look like it could become something, just have to wait for the first game play videos. On their site they say that they are a bunch of friends who liked to make games and now have teamed up to work together on games for the Revolution. This can go either way: Really bad or really good. You never know with the new guys, good thing is they usually dare to try something different and make what they want to make instead of what will raise the most amount of money and there is no big publisher pushing them.
Wiki Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crossbe..._Entertainment Apparently the studio was founded in 1999 so they have been around for a while you can also find some more info on the games.

Re: Three Revolution titles
Do they still not have a Rev dev kit? The Wikipedia note along those lines was added as of April 18th, and it looks to be an employee doing the edits. Rev dev kits are dirt cheap, and Nintendo's been handing them out like hotcakes.
But that leads me to the point: It's not a chicken until it hatches, and it's not a game company until it releases a game. Being raised in a generation of gamers, tiny gaming dev houses are crawling out of the woodwork. It costs nothing to put up a site, throw up a few sketches, and talk about your grandeous and ambitious dreams. And they fail. Pretty consistently. Because even startups with actual experience behind them (Zoonami, anyone?) face a grueling, expensive, and extremely wary market. The only reason we hear about them in instances such as this is people being so starved for information. ![]() |

Re: Three Revolution titles
I actualy first heard about the company while reading ussue 3 of ONM (Official Nintendo Magazine UK) CrossBeam Studios have only a single page but the page is titled "Developer Diary: Pt 1 and aparently there's going to be monthly installments keeping ONM readers up to date with what they're doin with these new titles.
They only really focused on "Orb" but aparently over the next six months they will be delving into the minds at CrossBeam... =/
