Top Secret in ssbm

If you take a look at the proxy-mine trophy, it tells you its origin is "Top Secret". Whats up with that?

Goldeneye or Perfect Dark, probably... After all, being an agent is secret.

Re: Top Secret in ssbm

In the Japenese version, it states that the mine and cloaking device comes from Perfect Dark. I don't see how they would be able to do that, seeing as how it was developed by Rare....Oh, well.

Re: Top Secret in ssbm

Who knows :S although with the cloaking device they state that it is from the Carrington Institute (I think) which means that it is definately from PD. I haven't got the proxy mine yet so I'm not sure about that one. I hated the mines from PD becuase they looked so stupid IMO. Goldeneye's ones looked kewl

Sorry if any of that info is wrong ^^ because I only got a Gamecube/SSB:M/that trophy today.

Re: Top Secret in ssbm

Erm, to be honest, I think it's just a little "in" joke from Nintendo. No big secret or anything, just to make us fans go "hehe, I get it".

Re: Top Secret in ssbm

well think about it... its a spy thing it should be comfodential (SP?)... i really think that it is just a little thing that they added for the game. look at the fan, they just put that in, it didn't come from any game. its just this little joke type thing.

Re: Top Secret in ssbm

confidential

It is just the spy thing as mentioned earlier. They want it to be not known of the origin. That way some geek, like me or you (vague, no one in specific) would play and play till they can get the "secret".

RARE IS NOT OWNED BY NINTENDO!!!!

Your right, Rare isn't own by Nintendo. Their PWNED by Nintendo. Considering the first game the realese after being bought out was for a Nintendo console, they really are.

Wasn't that enough for all of you? Nintendo owned a hefty portion of Rare at the time, It was from Perfect DArk, there's really no secret to it.

Re: Top Secret in ssbm

I think they did that because they didn't want a game rated Teen to reference a very violent game rated Mature (both Cloaking Device and Proximity Mine). I'd say that makes sense.

Re: Top Secret in ssbm

No. The Jap version of the game had a Perfect Dark Proxie Mine and the USA version had a Goldeneye Proxie Mine.
