Nintendo-AOL promotion!

It looks like AOL and Nintendo have come together to offer a lucky few free tickets to E3 and a chance to get up on stage at Nintendo's press event and PLAY THE REVOLUTION. Sounds good to me. I don't know if you have to be an AOL subscriber or not, but I bet you do. Anyway, you can signup for the contest here.

Ummm...for some reason I can't get to the sign up page. I'm always reverted to this page: http://videogames.aol.com/sweepstake...-first-to-play

Any help would be appreciated (like a direct link)

How exactly are you going to do that when theres residents all over the U.S.
Unless you mean ZU.

Anyway I might not need to win this contest during Summer break were going to California which I'm going on at May5.

Re: Nintendo-AOL promotion!

I don't understand why would they say 18 or older if most adults will probably not be interested. And second why couldn't they make it 13 or older thats more in the kid range.
I mean they could make an adult residents sign for kids who want to play the Rev.
and travel with the kids.

Because there's a age requirement to get into E3. E3 isn't just a stupid news event for kids on the internet. It's an ACTUAL TRADE SHOW, where business men and women come to show off their new products and check out their competition, trying to get investors, encourage business, and etc.

To be frank, it stopped being a real trade show when they failed to lock down entrance to match their escalating promotion. Now it's basically one big demo kiosk for wealthy nerds. And given their direction in recent years, I wouldn't be surprised if they opened it up to children soon. Hence we see the likes of GDC picking up a lot more steam.

But that's an aside.

Pretty cool stuff. What's fun is that as per their rules page it looks as if they're valuing the right to play the Revolution at around $1000. Not that that means anything.

Yeah, not to mention there's all those kids running around with "underage" passes already. Who are they, anyway? Kids of studio execs or something?

I thought about mentioning that, but decided against it since it didn't really follow my point I was trying to make as to why E3 only allows 18 year olds+ to attend.

And I've noticed too, how since then a lot of other trade shows have really boomed because of the thing that E3 has become.
