...Saddness. Interesting name. Obviously it's going to have that 1930's gangster thing down, so that's already a plus. Nobody is sure of the genre but theme points to shooter.

The problem I have there is that I'm already certain that the REV controller is perfect for FPS games. (and I was certain of this before the unveiling of Red Steel) Because of this, I actually hope the game isn't a FPS. I want to see what the controller can do for other genres. From the looks of things so far, it looks like I can only depend on Nintendo to show the depth of the new possibilities the rev brings.

In other words, bring on Super Smash Bros. 2.

So the game is going to be all Black and white. Interesting. Given the visual style of sin-city (which was awesome) I'm pleased to hear that. That alone indicates that the developers are willing to take risks. That's always a good thing.

It also indicates that the game is being made by someone who understands the theme they're choosing. I expect to hear gameplay details at E3.

Oh, and the game obviously doesn't sound kid friendly. This is obviously part of Nintendo's ad campaign strategy.

It's really not like Sin City at all, except for the fact that it's in black and white. And don't worry, it's not much of an action game at all and definitely not an FPS.

Oh, so it's a horror game? Awesome. An it doesn't sound like a shoot things to stay alive horror game, either. It sounds closer to games like Call of Cthlulu (typo?) and Silent Hill than it does to games like Resident Evil and The Suffering.

...and I don't think there's ever been a horror-game like that on a Nintendo console.

Definitely. As long as the execution isn't half-assed, it has the potential to be a really great game. Nintendo needs some new, mature series on their consoles--ones that can't possibly be ported to the other systems.

It's nice to see some news, especially for non-FPS's. As mentioned, that's obviously going to be the most poplular to annouce for a while, so I like seeing some of the less thought of genres surfacing.

You know I just had a thought. The revolution can potientaily give Nintendo something they've lacked ever since the N64: Good exclusive third party support.

The revolution will hopefully be able to play the common console game. (games like Madden or Splinter Cell.) Becuase it could be a flaw if the console ONLY has exlusives on it.

I'm pretty sure they've confirmed that, that it can play other stuff fine using the controller base.

This game doesn't look half-bad, at first from Gamespots report I was expecting some FPS on the beginnings of World War One. After reading the stuff from Revolution report, this game really looks interesting. I want to see what they can pull off with the black and white atmosphere they are going with. The artwork really is something else, and I like the direction this game is going in. I still hope it's not a FPS, I know that the Rev can pull it off easily but the devs seem to be going with that just because it's the most obvious thing. I was kind of hoping for an F-Zero title at launch since the controler works for racing games very well.

I like the fact that these games like Sadness and Red Steel are going to be much needed exclusive mature titles for Nintendo, but they still have something new and really interesting about them.

Looks like a good game. Very nice artwork. Nntendo needs a little lift, and Saddeness could help out.

The game title "Saddness" sounds a bit emo, but it's sounds like a good game.

That's like saying Silent Hill is a game emos would play. It dosen't work.

This game sounds awesome. I can't wait to see what else the Revolution might have in terms of a game library.

Updates on the game; nothing new, just two screens and some info that we've already heard. I want to know what they mean by "only for adult players with strong nerves." Is it going to be like one of those horror movies where people are posessed and on the floor and twitching...you know, like that sack of something in RE4 that kept on moving until you sliced/shot it.

if you go to their projects section and look at Sadness project it asks if you are atleast 21 years old and don't suffer from a heart condition or nervous disposition...interesting. Well, I'm going in either way.

That was. . . Horrible.

Was the like the extreme of RPG or something? Sadness looks like a terrible game. It looks like the role of a homicide house wife or something. The gameplay doesn't look appealing at all (well, to me at least). I mean, who wants to wave a torch around at killer mice or something? And the last part with the umbrella, COME ON! None of that looks fun. The only interesting concept I see is this game is most likely a game where whatever you do, affects the outcome of the game (sort of like in a Fable sense). But to the maximum extreme of it.

Do you have to put on make-up on as well?

I dunno, I personally found it kind of interesting. The music was horribly placed, but the way the controller was displayed to work has me interested. It looks to be a game that's comparable toa scary indigo prophecy in a sense.

It showed no gameplay footage, but it did show how the controller was going to be used. It's a bold approach from a new third party. I like that.

I don't see this game being too action packed, this game seems more like a game that will be focusing on the story and the mood. The gameplay looks interesting and will keep you semi-involved but I don't think it's gonna be something where you wave your arms around like you will be in the other Wii games.
