DDR accomplishments

Does anybody out there seriously play DDR? If so, you can post scores that you are proud of here. Here are mine. Max 300, Maxx Unlimited, and The Legend of Max, all with a AA score on heavy. I've also completely AA DDR Max 2 on heavy.

Re: DDR accomplishments

Does it include Mario Mix? If so, I've got a B on Bowsers Castle and an A on fishing frenzy... I think that's what it's called.

Re: DDR accomplishments

Yes, it includes any mix. Home version or arcade. The arcade's timing system is harder and it's generaly harder to play on, so you should specify if you did it on the arcade to boost your glory.

Re: DDR accomplishments

Something I've noticed... home xbox DDR pads (plastic) have nearly no sensitivity, while Mario Mix has very good sensitivity...

Re: DDR accomplishments

It does? That's good. Because like you said, normaly, plastic pads suck. I myself have a red octain ignition pad, which is the opposite of suck (though it's $100). I'll wait for my friend to get mario mix before I play it though, because the songs are all way to easy for me to buy it myself.

Does Mario Mix have difficulty ratings in feet? If so, how many feet is the hardest song?
Edit: Never mind, it's the same as a 9 foot. Which is disapointing, because I perfect combo 10 foots.

Re: DDR accomplishments

It's easy, but when you put it on hard, it gets pretty damn hard. Also, unless you really play it a lot then I doubt someone would bother paying $100 for a regular pad.

I play a lot, and I bought it. In no means is it a regular pad though. It has a special grip so it doesn't slide, even on heavy mode. You can feel the buttons with your feet. The suface is easy on your feet, and the pad's response surpasses that of any other pad. It's also super durable and can last years with you playing 10+ step songs every day for hours.

From what I heard about the hardest stage on the game, it is about as hard as a nine step in a normal DDR game. I can easily full combo ten and eleven steps, and I can pass twelve steps. I can even almost pass Pandemonium (a thirteen step).

If you check the link I posted you will see pics of the songs I AAed. Each of these is WAY harder than a nine step, especialy The Legend of Max, and Maxx Unlimited.

Edit. Yay! I just AAAed Happy Wedding!

I bought a Red Octane pad like that (the $100 one), and it crapped out on me a little over a year after use, and I don't even play that often. I had to take the pad insert out, or the right button wouldn't work half the time. It works alright with the pad removed, so I didn't throw it away. For only playing on Light or Standard mode (very rarely Heavy, I'm not too good at it yet), I don't see why the pad did that so quickly. I guess I was just unlucky, because I had heard that the Red Octane pad should be able to take quite a bit of punishment before loosing sensitivity and breaking down like the cheap $20 pads.

Re: DDR accomplishments

OMG...I <3 DDR. With a passion. Seriously, I'm so obsessed, it's not even funny. Although, I have yet to AA any of the Max songs. Or even pass them on Heavy. V_V But! I can pass Sakura with a B!! ^_______^ That's one of my favorite songs. And, yes, I beat Sakura at the arcade. I can't play on the pad at home, because we have the crappy $20 ones. I can play on the controller like nobody's business, though. So, with the controller, I can beat the Max songs on Heavy and such. That takes some serious hand-eye coordination and some crazy reflexes to do, too.

Really? I've been playing on it for over two years on Heavy. Not just Heavy either, I've been playing 10 steps, and I got "In the Groove" a while back and I'm playing 12 steps like nobody's business. I also play almost everyday, and I play for hours. I also sit on it while playing other videogames or watching movies, and it still works perfectly.

I managed to get to the point where I could pass Maxx Unlimited on a 20 dollar pad. As you can imagine, this completely killed it, and I got my Octane. Just keep practicing, and for the love of god, play Max 300!!! If you can pass Sakura in the arcade you should have little trouble beating Max 300 at home. I had DDR Max 2 as my first game. The second hardest song on that game is "So Deep." If I built up my skill from that, right to Maxx Unlimited on a soft pad, then you have no excuse to not be able to jump from Sakura to Max 300. Once you can beat that, it will be a short journey to passing the other tens.

On a side note. I just passed "Paranoia Survivor Max" on Oni mode, in the arcade. All songs have now been defeated on the DDR Extreme arcade machine.
Also, not five minutes ago........AAA.......Max 300!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit: Hey! You've got the Sakura background in your profile, cool!

Re: DDR accomplishments

Mr. Spork has marios mix and I get free DDR Extreme at work. But you can't expect me to remember scores though. I do remember that I did get a 300 something combo on Break Down on the DDR Extreme machine once. But that was on standard mode. So far I haven't been able to go beyond that.

Re: DDR accomplishments

......but there are only 279 notes in Break Down standard.

Yay! I AAed The Legend of Max Heavy in the arcade for the first time!
