Nintendo's new marketing campaign

Follow this link to find a new article about nintendo's new marekting campaign who are you? What are your thoughts on the cinema ad available here and the other aspects? I am hoping this indicates a change of nintendos pass reluctancy to advertise especially here in australia were the only advertising is in store, on the Nintendo of australia website, and the occasional magazine placement.

Re: Nintendo's new marketing campaign

This is kind of old news. I haven't actually seen anything outside of magazine ads. Maybe the campaign is bigger in the United States.

Yes perhaps, after all american money is still worth more then every other currency. But still the ad is pretty cool and I'd like to see it when I go and see the matrix revoulotions next month.

The euro is worth more than the dollar if i am correct. i think 1 euro= 2 dollars (approximately) but it might have changed (havent checked in about 6 months)

Re: Nintendo's new marketing campaign

The pound sterling (British currency) is worth more. But that means almost nothing, as long as everyhitng is proportional, really, so it doesnt really matter. Plus the economy is trending better so the dollar should strengthen (at least I expect it to). Only really matters if you need to exchange different currency.

About time Nintendo got off their lazy arse and started to advertise. No one will buy your product if they dont know it exists. Hopefully Nintendo will amend fort its past sins and this enthusiasm to make thier system popular will carry over into their next endeavor. I think that loss they just got was a real wake up call, although they certaintly make money they are starting to feel the fire on their rear ends.

Re: Nintendo's new marketing campaign

............
That commercial.......was weird.
Did that kid fly off a bus?.........running on subway trains? Well, they got my attnetion. I dont feel compelled to buy more stuff of Nintendos though.
Well, this is the first I've heard of this new ad thing.
So basically SearanoX, the campaign isnt big down here either. I haven't even seen an ad in the mags I get, no commercials either.
I guess I cant vouch for the whole country though, it may be bigger in other states/cities.

Re: Nintendo's new marketing campaign

Perhaps they're seeing how the campaign goes in Japan first, because that seemed like a Japanese commercial to me. They would probably want something new for the Western world.

Re: Nintendo's new marketing campaign

That makes sense, seeing as they usually dont take things overseas that perform poorly to begin with.

Yeah, it definately looked like a Japanese commercial. I fear the worst for what may happen if this campaign ever gets here. The gaming commercials Ive seen.......scare me to say the least, most of them suck. The only good ones just show clips from the game....the really make the games look bad with other ones. I suppose the Windwaker one was ok too.
