I saw this weird Nintendo Rev. controller

Does this mean anything to you

It's the shell for the revolution controller.You use it for the classic games that you download.

It supposed to be a cradle attatchment to the Rev. so you can play regular like a gamecube...with a few extra buttons. But this picture isn't official. You should wait till Nintendo officialy comes out with pictures...not some other website.

Well, that depends if the Gamecube game itself is backwards compatible with the Rev. If not, then no. But most of the time almost all the games work with new systems, so I am pretty sure that most Gamecube games will work with Rev. If not, then you probably have to download them to your Rev. .

That's a mock-up by IGN, and not the actual controller shell that Nintendo will ship. There's been a number of other similar mock-ups done by IGN, but that's the most famous of them.

It might I don't think Nintendo has said anything about it so we'll just have to wait and see.

Well I'm just anxous all these false publicity's have poped up and freakin tired of them.
I just wan't the truth is that so hard to ask. I wish nintendo would speak up a little more.

I thought G-cube games WERE backwards compatible with Rev?? I thought that had been confirmed, and yeah that controller looks sweet, but i hope the REAL one is abit smaller and looks less Xboxy lol

GCN games are compatible, and Nintendo has confirmed the existance of such a shell. That PARTICULAR one, however, is a mock-up by IGN. We don't know what the actual shell will look like, but it won't be that.

It wont just be used for old games, I'm sure there'll be quite a few (mainly multiplatform) games that will use it.

I hope Nintendo comes with a better solution cause that thing looks clunky as hell.
