nintendo sometimes boasts too much

Post here with any videos or letters showing that nintendo boasts too much.I got a wi-fi video and i think it makes em look way too good.

Yes, but you don't see Sony or Microsoft marketing in this special way...And ive heard other people saying nintendo boasts too much anywayz..

Anyway, it's just marketing, they try to make the nicest looking commercials, like that whole 'touch' thing they had going when the DS came out, that was pure genius, too bad it didn't last long. I think people complain about the DSs wifi-connection a bit too much... it's a free service, you can't expect the VERY VERY VERY best.

Dude, its an freeking AD. And actually, I like the ad. Its a lot better than the new PSP ads they have. I mean how is that boasting? They just tell you what you can do with it. They dont sugarcoat it at all, so why get pissy about it?

I actually liked that ad. It's pretty cool. Though, I find it so strange that Europe is the last mentioned, hmm. That ad is damn cool.

Boasting, or marketing? The latter is most likely what they're doing. The constant "Nintendogs owns your soul" is much closer to boasting then this is.

Erm, yeah you do. It's just that they do it so much that it has become background noise to us. Besides, I've never actually seen a Nintendo wifi advert in any medium, and having to go to their official site in order to find one negates your argument entirely.

PS. It's a free service they're providing. They have every right to boast.

You just completely contridicted and made a fool of your agreement by that last part. You say "Who Cares?" But yet you care enough to defend an advertisment by slamming another group of advertisements. Way to go.

alot of people think nintendo DS and nintendo advertise to make them feel better read some hate threads in ZU and the complain hey nintendo *said* that the DS was supposed to be a brand new thing but really...its like a pocket pc...

I don't totally understand what you're saying but...

It's all marketing. They don't do it to make themselves feel better. They do it because it makes them money. Advertisements influence people into getting a product, if they buy the product, the company makes money. If the product is cheaper to produce then to buy, they'll make a profit out of the advertisement if they sell enough of them.

The said the DS would be a brand new thing, because it is, brand new. New to the Nintendo brand name of course .

I sort of did. I think it was for Mario Kart, but Wi-Fi was in there. Didn't make me want to buy it though, just some random people playing Mario Kart in different locations and then low quality screenshots of the game.

There is only one way to stop this pain.
