Radiata Stories

I recently received Radiata Stories as a gift and I have to say I really enjoyed it. The characters are very lovable, the voice acting is good, and I also liked the story line. What were your opinions on it? What were your favorite and least favorite parts and characters?

And, for those who completed the game, how did you interpret the ending? Personally I was kind of confused and don't even want to attempt to dissect it. Remember to use spoiler tags

I and a a lot of other people who've bought RS I know, have all sort of ended up stalling and not completing the game only a couple of hours in. (8 or so for me) The story wasn't going anywhere, the humor wasn't that funny (Dragon Quest VIII is ten times funnier and it's not even known for that fact), and the battle system sucked. The battle system was just an extremely watered down version of Star Ocean's, except with terrible battle music and battle cries. The game did look interesting, but I would start playing it, then get bored within 15 minutes every time.
