Re: RE 5

I cannot wait for the game, but it seems such a long ways away from completion. Anyway, this is my anticipated title of the next generation of consoles. I cannot wait.

Re: RE 5

The game looks fun, but there's a good chance it won't be coming out for the Revolution. So all of you that are anxiously awaiting its release; you better have an Xbox 360 or a PS3. Yeah I know that Sizzlin's little guess isn't official, but my senses tell me that Capcom will make a whole new RE spin-off to coincide with the Revolution controller.

I also expect to see the first person Resident Evils to head over to the Rev.

Re: RE 5

RE5 would only be good if they use the same gameplay as they did for RE4, which they most likey will seeing as it was a big success for RE4.

They are, the same over the right shoulder view is being used. I've seen the trailer and it looks really impressive, especially the expectedly revolutionary graphics.

Re: RE 5

I've seen the trailer and it looks great! Unfortunately, i have a gamecube and most likely it wont come out for it. Luckily I have friends who have the other consoles so i'll probably play it at their house. I wonder who the dude was though... a lot of people think that it is chris redfield, but i dont think so. Of course, its a possibility but i think it will be a new guy.

I hope you're wrong. If RE5 plays anything like RE4 (I've heard it does), then the Revolution controller should work wonderfully.

-Intuitive weapon aim
-Manual slicing with the knife (giving the player much more control)

Oh, that'd be nice!

Control layout

Analog stick-Walk
Z1-Point Weapon
Z2-Knife
A-Context Sensitive (same as RE4)
B-Run, Fire (when pointing weapon)
Remote-Aim, slash (stab, horizontal, vertical, uppercut)

Simple, effective, beautiful. Revolutionary controls undoubtedly would enhance this game. A great example of a non-gimick, currently existing game greatly benefiting from the Revolution controller.

I will also say that although RE4's graphics and presentation are second to none, it is the great, simple controls that make it almost perfect.

Re: RE 5

Yeah, this should be a good game. There's too little info on it to really speculate much, though.

Before the Rev controller was revealed Capcom (or it could have been a rumor) said it could be a possibility that RE5 will also be on Rev and PC.

All a matter of opinion. I much Prefer Resident Evil 0 through to CVX than Resident Evil 5.

Re: RE 5

Yeah I like the old gameplay too, but it looks like the new style will be the standard for RE games from now on. I am hoping that when Capcom decides to make spin-off games, they make the gameplay like the old classic RE games. Then, we can have the best of both worlds.

Re: RE 5

The only thing there is to speculate on is who the main character is. And I'm 95% sure it's chirs redfield.

I mean, seriously. The guy in RE5 looks like a more detailed version of him.

Re: RE 5

Agreed. It's either:

-Chris Redfield. I certainly hope so, then maybe there's a chance that Claire, Jill, and the rest of the old crew will come back (INCLUDING WESKER! His role in RE4 was too small.)

-Billy Coen. I wouldn't mind having him back. I always wondered what happened to him (I hope he didn't get eaten by the dogs. That would be lame, and too many characters have died in the Arklay Forest.)

-Carlos Oliviera. OH GOD, STAY AWAY! Carlos sucked so much, it's not even funny. I hope Jill shot him.

-A new character. This would suck too, concidering the fact that there are enough characters in Resident Evil already: Chris, Claire, Barry, Jill, Rebecca, Billy, Leon, Wesker, Carlos, and Ada.

Re: RE 5

I seriously did not like Billy. At the start of Zero he was potrayed as somewhat of a wolverine clone like hardass that didn't listen to anybody. Later in the game, he turned into a bigger pansy than Sherry Birkin.

Well, anyway, I think we can sure that it isn't him. That, I'm 100% sure of. Whoever this guy is, doesn't he seem to be lacking a very strong characteristic that Billy had? Think about it.

Also, it's been confirmed that it isn't a new character.

"Takeuchi avoided revealing the character's identity, but did mention that the core developers of RE5 include members of the original RE team, and that the character is someone that the developers are fond of. "

makes you wonder: Why would mentioning those that helped with the orginal game have any revelance to who the character is?

So think about the previous cast. It's definatly not Leon and seeing as it's said to be an true sequel, it's definatly not carlos. So unless Barry Birkin got some serious plastic surgery that only leaves one character.

Also, if Takeuchi was trying to HIDE who this character was, he did a terrible job. But he's not a very good writer anyway, so who cares?

Re: RE 5

How was he portrayed as a pansy? All I noticed was that he saved Rebecca and told her about his past.

Re: RE 5

Yeah I saw it, I downloaded back when it was showed at the TGS. Then IGN took it off saying they weren't supposed show it. So I had it for a while, and yes it looked cool. I can't wait for it, if it will be anything like RE4.

0_o!?

Really? You've played RE5? I'm guessing you ment how RE5 would have a similar set up like RE4...

If you ment what you originaly ment of what you said in the quote, then that's kinda silly that your downing it when it hasn't even been released yet. You got to give it a chance, but like you said, "It's your opinion". :/
