Nintendo GameCube Adapter

Hi,

If this thread is in the wrong place please move it. Thanks

I'm just wondering if anyone has a Nintendo GameCube Modem/Broadband Adapter because i am interested in buying one and also i would like to know what games is made to play online.
And if you have found any sites containing information about Nintendo Gamecube Adapter, i would really appreciate it if you would reply with the link.

Thanks for your time

Re: Nintendo GameCube Adapter

There's only one game that supports it - Phantasy Star Online. It's not really worth getting one, although they do have other uses...

Can't you do it with Mario Kart: Double Dash as well? Or is that a different online thing...

Re: Nintendo GameCube Adapter

mario kart had some sort of lan adapter
phantasy star online was the only one that used the broadband adapter. but the adapter can be used forripping games to a computer. its kinda complicated and right now almost pointless (a few games can be emulated, but ot well).

Why? Aren't you supposed to store memory cards under there? That's what I do.

Re: Nintendo GameCube Adapter

Yeah, really useful when you're bringing the Cube to a friend's house.

Back on topic, are you even into Phantasy Star? Not much reason to get it if you're not...

PSO is an online RPG developed by SEGA, originally for the Dreamcast. It's the only game that truly supports online play via the Broadband Adapter. The other three can be played over the internet with a nifty piece of software called "Warp Pipe". More info here.
