Animal Crossing DS

I personally can't wait for the sequel to one of my favorite games to come out. I always name my towns after real Japanese cities. Last time I named it Tokyo and this time I'm going with Okinawa (did I spell this wrong). I hope that maybe I could get some other peoples names from ZU who are going to get Animal Crossing DS so that we can visit each other over Wi-Fi. When the game comes out on December 5th, PM me your Animal Crossing names and how I could get to your town to visit you. My name on the game is going to be "A.J". thank you

Re: Animal Crossing DS

Me and one of my freinds are literally doing a count down for until it comes out! I can't wait! I am getting it the day it comes out! More motivation for me to get is that I need to do a video game reveiw on it for my school newspaper. That way i have a reason for my parents to buy it instead of me.

Of course if it means getting the game I will use my own money.....

Re: Animal Crossing DS

My friend just purchased it today (Well, actually, his mom did for making all A's on his report card) and he's been playing it off and on ever since he arrived home. He called me up and started telling me everything about the game.

Anyway, I honestly thought it came out on Wednesday, so that's the reason why I did not pick it up today (I must have missed the call from GameSpot today). So tomorrow, I'll run by after school and pick it up. Considering the first one was like nicotine to me, I'll no doubt enjoy Animal Crossing: Wild World.

And once I get a crap load of stuff in my town, I'll post my friend codes so I can meet up with some of you. So yeah, I'm pretty psyched about tomorrow.

Re: Animal Crossing DS

Man, I got the game this Wednesday and I'm completely hooked on the game. The day I got it after work, I went home and since I had no homework, I played for 4 hours straight till I went to bed. I was completely addicted to the game (Like I said before, the first one did the same thing) The next day, after work and tutoring and a band dinner, I got my homework finished and played for 3 hours.

Yes, I got a little carried away. But the game's so much fun. I finally payed off my house and am currently waiting for it to be expanded upon.

Anyway, the game is great. The graphics, though are a little more granier than the GCN one, are fantastic. The sound, though not the best in the world, has some pretty addicting tunes. Plus, you can once again customize your town's tune, so that's a plus.

Everything's been expanded upon and improved (For example, less fetch-quest type things where you have to go to multiple places to get the thing you're trying to get) Though the touch screen's usage is not all that great in this game, the fact that you can draw your designs now with the stylus and easily navigate the menu with it is a Godsend.

Yes, this is one fun game, though it's not for everyone. But if you enjoyed the first one, chances are you will enjoy this one too.

Re: Animal Crossing DS

I agree with what Haku said. I doubt this will win over any people that didn't like the original, but if the original hypnotized you the way it did a lot of people, then I think you're in for one hell of a time eater with this little gem.

I've got a bigger house and Nook N Go now. Big snowstorm coming in tommorow. ^_^

Re: Animal Crossing DS

The original got boring after a month. I hope in this one they add some more replay value to it.

@anyone who has played this one: is it worth getting if you thought the original was so-so?

Wow... I'm expecting a snowstorm at my town, too. And Tom Nook's shop is under renovation today, so there hasn't been much to do except do a few errands for the neighbors. I'm suprised the Able Sisters aren't selling any jackets or anything (Oh, well, I'll just freeze my butt off tomorrow in my short sleeved shirt).

Yeah, as you can see, the game's very hypnotising and will hold you in a deadlock in terms of going back everyday.

Re: Animal Crossing DS

I am very excited about Animal Crossing: Wild World. I will certainly buy it with whatever Christmas money I get. That and Mario Kart DS. We need a thread for posting friend codes and setting up sessions of online play. I can't wait to visit other people's towns. Maybe we could have a Christmas Party or a New Year's eve countdown party thing...that would be fun. See you soon!

There exists one. It lies here.

Wild World sounds awesome. I'm hoping to get a DS and this for Christmas. You actually get storm watches?
