just how stupid is Ninja Gaiden? and how great it Tenchu?

i mean, its a great game and all, but the main point im throwing out is,

YOUR NOT EVEN A NINJA IN THE GAME!!!!!!!

all you are is a guy wearing black that kills stuff. that is NOT what a ninja is.

for all of you who think that that IS what a ninja is, heres a lesson for you.




a ninja or "shinobi" is a japanese martial artist that specializs in espionage and assassinations. they use every art of stealth, or "ninjitsu" to get the job done. a ninja can wear black, if its night time, or if needed a ninja will use any disguise needed to carry out the mission. he may even dress as a lesser ninja, or act foolish to trick others. ninjas only use weapons if they need to, and only lesser ninja swing around large weapons, only to slow them down. if a ninja is caught by a non-ninja, he shall kill himself for being foolish. if a ninja catches another, they shal fight to the death. only a ninja can kill a ninja.

never let the enemy see your face.
never harm the innocent.
live by honor, kill by stealth."

get it now? if youve played the incredibly stereo type game called ninja gaiden, youll realize that the game follows none of these ninja codes. in the game, you dont even use stealth at all. you walk up to the guy and smack him until he dies. a true ninja would kill the enemy before the enemy knows hes even dying. the game is totally false, and even G4 says "its the best ninja game out there. 9 out of 10!" and they gave tenchu a 4. my main point is, Ninja gaiden is a completely wrong titled game, fooling others into thinking what a ninja is. the game is great, but the concept of it is false. its should be just called like, "ultimate warrior" or something.

none of you are going to agree with me, because most of you love the game probably. thats ok and all, but as a student of Ninitsu, i despise it, and would much rather play Tenchu.

i dont wanna type any more now, so if you havent heard of or played Tenchu, ill explain it in a later post.

So far all I see is, "The game is to hard for me and because of that I made a thread complaining about it." Nobody really cares as long as you have fun with it, so what if it isn't what a ninja would really do, just have fun. IT'S A GAME.

I severely doubt that you're a "student of ninitsu", whatever the hell you could possibly mean by ninitsu.

Speaking of irritating Ninja Games, anyone tried Ninja Turtles for the Super Nintendo?
It pisses me off that TURTLES can be ninjas, have any of you guys ever SEEN a turtle? First of all they can't walk on two legs. Also, they don't have hands. They just have small little flippers that serves no ninja-purpose at all.
But oh wait, THESE turtles are "super", so THEY can be ninjas! They do camuflage, I'll give them that, but WHAT'S THE POINT WITH THE MASKS OVER THE EYES?! People can see they are turtles anyway (even though it still doesn't make sense to me that TURTLES are NINJAS)

And I won't even go into that wannabe-samurai Shredder. I mean, please.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I have studied ninjas and karate for over 20 years so don't you disagree with me because I know more about it than you do.

I also hope you realize it is pronounced (nin- jah guy-dan), ha ha, that is so clever. [/sarcasm] I bet you played Tenchu first, got connected to that, THEN played Ninja Gaiden. So now you see ninjas as Tenchu shows them instead of any other game, go watch Naruto for a more "traditional" ninja way. (not the one on cartoon network, the one from japan with subtitles) Oh and a word of advice, type better or nobody will take you seriously.

I don't give a damn if Ryu follows any actual Ninja codes or not. In the fictional game he stars in, he is a badass Ninja. The most badass Ninja ever.

And he rocks.

That's the last straw. I am done with Ninja Gaiden until they get their act together.

Do you really take a cartoon that seriously? Why is everyone so serious about the ninja subject? Ninjas are total badass' of course, but why all the huffy-ness on "Oh thi5 i5 how ninjas should act and all your opinions are stupid! a hahaaaa!111!1!!1" ?

I hate to burst your bubble, 5tea1thy, but "real ninjitsu" does not even exist. Ninja's were supposedly assassins in China that knew a few good tricks; then the Japannese embellished the legend and sold it to America, to impressionable youngsters like yourself.

You are full of it. Practicing ninja moves you learn online doesn't make you a student of ninjitsu, unless its a form like Dux Ryu Ninjitsu, which was American made and is not authentic.

Trust me, I have done extensive reaserch on the subject. There is no historical evidence at all to even suggest that ninja ever even existed. So if someone tells you they are a "real ninja", laugh at them.

Seems as though the issues of this thread have been adquately covered.

That said, I haven't got my hands on Ninja Gaiden yet, but I plan to in the near future - it's one of the main reasons I got an Xbox. Now, I did pick up Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven a year or two back, and it's a pretty good stealth game, though I've played better. Namely, Metal Gear Solid - different time periods or not, the premise is the same. You can't quite expect anything to live up to that though, eh?

Dude, just SHUT UP. It's a video game. Hell, Tenchu has you doing stealth kills on DEMONS. I'm pretty sure there's never been a ninja that's done that.

They're just games, kid. You don't have to play them if you don't like them. Just don't annoy us with useless rants.

Altough I have been meaning to play Tenchu and Ninja Gaiden for a while now...anyway, being a ninja is full of you know what, but learning extensive martial arts to the point that you can kill in a couple strikes is not! I think I know only one person who says he's a ninja, and he's not even real!
