Link because he doesnt pop games out ever 2 weeks like mario. Hasnt made a bad game (in my opinion) like fox and donkey kong have. And i was just never a huge metroid prime fan.

I'm going to go with which one I like best instead of what kind of games they've been in.

2. Mario
3. Samus

I like them in the same order as Trv016, both as characters and as games. I think Fox and DK are cool too though, but their games aren't as up to scratch as Link, Mario and Samus's. Well...maybe Lylat Wars.
Oh, and Oracleofages...since when does Mario pop up every two weeks? That's a total exageration.

I think most people here will vote Link seeing as it is Zelda Universe but w/e.

I vote Link because he has never IMO had a bad game. If Mario's 3D games were as good as his 2D games, then he may well be my favourite.

Oh come on! Mario 64 was amazing! In my opinion, it was Mario's finest hour. It was nearly even greater than Ocarina.

Amazing, maybe, but IMO some of his 2D games are better. Also, there haven't been many other classic 3D Mario games, have there?

I like Mario 64 better than the 2D ones, I don't care what some game board said... mario Sunshine was a little worse...

Well, I think you can guess what I voted... FOX!!! Yes, I like Star Fox better than Zelda, mainly because I don't get to play it as much... and I like flying in ships and shooting things better than hitting things with a broadsword. My second would be Jimmy Patterson, from Medal of Honor. Then Link.

Mario came out way before zelda and someone said mario games pop up every two weeks, what an idiot. i also voted for zelda tho

That's because you can vote for more than one choice at a time. Right now, there are 11 different voters and 9 of them picked Link at least.

Me? I picked Link and Mario to test out my theory. These two characters seem to be the flagship characters for Nintendo. Just look at all the Mario Titles, for instance.

Link is winning.......but Yoshi is in SECOND place! Yeah!!!!!

Link, Samus, and Mario. Without them, Nintendo would fail. Those are also where Nintendo's games shine the most.

All of you have to admit that it's actually Mario who's the Star because he's the forst and the best/ Stop picking Link because we're in this forum..Link's 2nd...he's cool, but Mario just has a bigger reputation

Link is the horribly obvious choice. Mario is Nintendo's flexible mascot that was one of the first forerunners of the vide ogame craze. Fox has never been in one of the flagship franchises, but I think he's a pretty good contendor. Or would be at least, after the terrible stray the series took Post-N64. But he had such a potential to him, everything about their world had a stellar springboard to it. Maybe they could use a retcon.

I've only played Zelda,Mario and DK games,so I went with Link. But still,who doesn't love all the Nintendo characters?
