Gamecube TV
I know this sounds a little weird, but... what if someone combined a Gamecube with a TV? That way you could just play your games directly from the TV, no Gamecube to hook up, no tangled wires, plus a TV to watch DVDs with. If no one else likes my idea, i'll just build one for myself. I would probably use one of those TV/VCR combos, build a custom case, hook up the inside of the GC to the TV, and put it in. What do you think?

Re: Gamecube TV
It's an ok idea but something like it has already been made. Don't have one myself but it would be good for long car journeys, or just a bit awkward. Not a Tv with a Cube in but a Cube with a screen ontop.

Re: Gamecube TV
One of the reasons TV/VCR/DVD combos have always been a tiny niche is because there's limited demand to begin with, so they're produced small and cheap. This in turn doesn't do anything to help increase demand.
![]() Personally I wouldn't want one. I replace my TVs and game consoles on different cycles, so see little point in putting time or effort into cramming them into a single box. And if one breaks, I'm either left with two non-functioning devices, or left to salvage whatever's left. And given the size of the average combo box TV screen, may as well just opt for an LCD attachment for the Gamecube instead. |
