Zelda vs. Halo

What do you prefer, Zelda or Halo?
I personnaly prefer Zelda because the story is better, and I always prefer the fantasy game instead of the sci- fi.

Also i think Link is better than master chief because he has alot of courage and bravery, he is an honorable warrior, and he was the only one who could kill the Evil king, all in a freaking tunic.
While master chief has to have alot of marines at his side, he needs alot of armor and that can barely keep him alive, and if it wasnt for those scientist guys genetically making him better and stronger, he wouldnt be able to fight for his life.

but i want to know what you guys think.

Well, MasterCheif was an a soldier before he became a Spartan(thats what the suit and stuff made him). So I think He could fend for his own. As far as it being better than Zelda, they are two totally different games. Comparing a FPS to a mainly third-person adventure game is hard to do when there is not nearly enough to put them in the same category.

If I had to pick one, I'd pick Zelda because I can be entertained by it longer.

Seriously though, I have never played much of the Halo series, so I can't really determine if MasterCheif is awsome or not. So the only answer I'll say is just Link, even though there are MUCH better videogame stars out there.

Zelda of course. I love adventure games, and Zelda is by far the best adventure series ever. Halo is a good series though.

But you can't really compare the two series.

Umm... This is a Zelda forum and that makes it pretty obvisious who most of us prefer.

I'd say Link just 'cause I hate FPSs.

Well Halo and Zelda re far to different to compare. Halo is a sci fi fps while Zelda is more an an rpgish, adventure.

Im not that sure whcih to choose. Halo has the better graphics, both storylines are pretty bad, Zelda has better music, while Halo has better gameplay. Hmmmm Im sure that there is alot i missed.

Anyway i think that Zelda has more immersion so Im gonna say that Zelda is better. Id say immersion is the most important thing in a video game.

How can you compare Halo with Zelda? Zelda is a action/adventure game, while Halo is a First-Person Shooter game. I can understand if Zelda was a FPS, but obviously, it isn't. I never played Halo, so I can't really say anything.

Zelda keeps me entertained when i'm on my own but having 16 people at your house on 4 tvs playing a big Halo fest..not much beats that. Personally i think Halo has a good story line but Zelda is more in depth so they're as good as each other IMO

You guys don't know much about the Halo series, right? The Master Cheif (or more sensibly, Spartan-117, as 'Master Cheif' is not a name, it is a rank.), was abducted by UNSC military when he was only Six years old. He, along with several other boys and girls his age, were received the same kind of military training full grown adults do. They were selected to become Spartans because they already had unusual amounts of fitness. Such as John (Spartan-117) was stronger then anyone else in his old school, Linda had sharp eyes, and Kelly was extra-ordinary fast.

Once they were old enough, they received cyborg implants, which only increased their already extra-ordinary abilities (So even if the Spartan project didn't exist, Spartan-117 and his 'brothers and 'sisters' would still be skilled and terrific soldiers). They were later given the MJOLNIR armor, and no, it isn't a life support armor at all DrkFierceDeity. It is a the pinnacle of UNSC technology. It is given to the Spartans to enhance their relflexes EVEN MORE. It makes them twice as fast. Twice as strong. It is actually because of the MJOLNIR armor is why the Spartans were given cyborg implants in the first place. Normal humans couldn't handle it (a single marine tried to wear the armor and moved his arm. It moved so fast that the bones shattered). And the cyborg implants could only be given to fit, healthy people.

And at the age of 8 or 10, John (The Master Cheif, to you lot) proved he is a capable leader. He earned his position as Squad Leader at that age and at adulthood he earned his 'Master Cheif' rank.

And even without his MJOLNIR armor or his cyborg implants, John would still be a special person. His talent, his most precious ability, is winning. He never loses. No matter what the situation. Look at the first Halo game: Near the end, the only human left on the ring is him (I presume Johnson and the very few other human survivors leave Halo before it's even destroyed). The battle on Halo has become more of a Covenant vs Flood vs Sentinels. And yet, John just proves it's quality over quantity. He wins the Halo battle by destroying the ring. No armor or implants can grant him that amount of skill of winning.

I'm a complete and total Halo freak and I can't seem to find a Halo forum, so I'm here, deal with it . Anyway, they are completely different games, so it's hard to compare. But if I had to well, I'd have to say Halo (go figure) because of the storyline, gameplay, graphics, and online gameplay. The only time I'd prefer Link would be in Ocarina of Time and Super Smash Bros (only).

Zelda, no comparison whatsoever. Halo 2 was highly overated and really poor game, but if your reffering to the first one thats different. But still Zelda wins by far, it motivates me more and I just prefer action/adventure/rpg games more than any genre.

Their storylines? I know barely of Halo's but I fail to see where you think Zelda's storyline is bad. You could probably say simple, but I doubt that it is as horrible you seem to think. And the immersion you attach to Zelda also contains side quests, which you know, give a little storyline insight into minor characters and such. Underdeveloped may be a word for it, but I don't think its lacking in pure quality. And since when did music outweigh gameplay? o-O
